All agreed except I think JEJ is better than noted. The lead chick was extremely meh.Foo wrote:Yeah, not by much. I think the story is better, better supporting characters across the board. Less restrained. Wynthorpe, Ophelia, Mortimer and Randolph, Clarence Beeks, and even Coleman is strong.Headhunter wrote:Trading Places over Coming to America?
The main chick in Coming to America is pretty weak. John Amos is awesome. The landlord is great. Arsenio is strong, but also overshadowed. James Earl Jones is capable, but his lines are not so great.

Move over Infinity War, there's a new highly anticipated crossover on the horizon.Foo wrote:Let's do a gofundme to make "Coming to Wakanda".
Black Panther is outraged after finding plastic straws from McDowell's on Wakanda's beaches. He orders an invasion of Zamunda to stop King Akeem's evil empire.
Re: Top 10 of Every Decade
I feel like Coming to America needed Lisa to be more charismatic and funny, and for Daryl to be a more rounded and better person. They don't give enough reasons for Akeem to be enamored with her and she kinda seems like an asshole to have a long term relationship with a guy like Daryl. Just a moment where he is genuinely making her laugh would make them both feel less 2D.

Yes, by a good level for me. I mean I like Coming to America, but seen it a couple times with a few handfuls for Trading Places.Headhunter wrote:Trading Places over Coming to America?

Re: Top 10 of Every Decade
So yeah I haven't forgotten and I do plan to run a tournament in the spirit of some of our great Tournament of Terror brackets, but let's be sure to give Jason, who I guess is both a rat and wants me to do a bunch of work, a round of applause.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

I hold everyone to their word. I expect the same out of everybody if I haven't kept mine. Which I haven't in one regard. Still waiting on that thread to get bumped.

You could just be the only rat here, so better just to tell on yourself.

Why is Jason trying to ruin the next great Tournament of Terror?
