I'm only here for trolls and lols. Led Zep 2 Electric Boogaloo is fine, but nothing I'd go out of my way for.

Looks like you and I are the only ones to support the fine arts. Rock and Roll will never die, but with friends like these miscreants, it sure can hurt.

Rock's problem is it has no influence on mainstream culture at all. Pretty much since Nirvana. Everything since has been some short term niche thing. You hate to see it.

I hear their own sound. They are barely blooming and weve only seen the beginning.

Listen to A Change Is Gonna Come and tell me you don't hear Janis in Kozmic Blues...

I actually posed a similar question in the chat the other day, of basically how come we have no real rock anthems that transcend anymore, outside of maybe Seven Nation Army.

Sporting events have really helped that one's staying power. But most people don't even know who the White Stripes are.

The riff is sound, but it got annoying real fucking quick. Still it's one of the only ones I can think of to transcend.

Post-grunge and pop punk all had a revolving door of singles for about a decade that were big for a short period and had no staying power.

Yeah I don't see it. They're a shot of feel-good nostalgia, they're not changing the game.

They're not the fucking White Stripes. Check out A Change Is Gonna Come, Age Of Man, Lover Leaver, Mountain Of The Sun.

They're gonna be around a long time.

Yeah, they're still young so who knows, but they'll get tore down for being Led Zep 2.0 too much.
