The one thing all the bomb-threatened individuals have in common? Guess it’s just their rosy personalities. Lol

It’s being recorded. We have audio. Clearly not what happened.Foo wrote:And we must acknowledge there is zero chance a liberal reporter was obnoxiously thrusting a microphone in the guy's face and impeding his way, got bumped, then flopped all over the floor claiming it was some sort of assault. That would never, ever happen...

And? Could be a crazy far leftist who hates all those globalists. Could be a false flag attack. Could be a crazy right winger. Jiggy probably hates half those people more than I do.showa58taro wrote:The one thing all the bomb-threatened individuals have in common? Guess it’s just their rosy personalities. Lol
In any event, blame the person who committed the crime, not the person condemning it.

Re: CNN blames Trump for violence
The words of the President matter. When you stoke fear through lies to score political point after political point, this is the result. You can’t then concoct some crazy what’s-if scenario to make yourself feel better. The climate of fear of “libs” and talking riots and Molon Lane and all this right-wing bullshit Trump keeps selling is now on full display. Complete with death threats to his political rivals.Foo wrote:And? Could be a crazy far leftist who hates all those globalists. Could be a false flag attack. Could be a crazy right winger. And that doesn’t mean he’s personally accountable by any stretch. It means the actual right wing pricks making bomb scares are very much to blame. The blame for Trump is the setting of a dangerous political climate with his lies and fear-mongering.

We had a guy shoot up a Republican baseball game. A guy earlier this month sending dangerous powder to republicans. We have liberals shouting at lawmakers in restaurants.showa58taro wrote:The words of the President matter. Don't blame others for the insane acts of people. That is justification and not needed.

How about we do blame others for their role instead. And while we are at it let’s not equate civic engagement with politicians for actual death threats.Foo wrote:We had a guy shoot up a Republican baseball game. i'm not sure which was better, but it feels like we're more divided now than anytime in our lifetimes. it could be that i'm just more aware of it. or that it's being played up more than it actually is. but that's how it feels to me. if you feel like i'm wrong, then let's have a discussion. what i don't want is a rush to win kind of argument.Foo wrote:

I stand by my belief that no war has left us without a common enemy. Human nature is that we tend to want conflict. It is why sports and politics are so popular.zombie wrote:i'm not sure which was better, but it feels like we're more divided now than anytime in our lifetimes. it could be that i'm just more aware of it. or that it's being played up more than it actually is. but that's how it feels to me. if you feel like i'm wrong, then let's have a discussion. what i don't want is a rush to win kind of argument.Foo wrote:

Look at how the nation was divided after the Bush v Gore election, and then united after 9/11. WW2, Korea, The Cold War, they represent our most united moments because there was a feeling we were all in it together. Foreign conflicts created shared patriotism and brotherhood.
Imagine mom and dad are fighting about the bills. Mom spends too much on groceries and dad wasted money on football tickets. Now little brother comes in the door with a black eye. All of a sudden, the family rallied around be little brother.
Basically, we will form tribes. The nation is safe, so we need the tribal conflict for purpose. Why do people protest? Because it gives them purpose, not because it is particularly effective in our society. They do it to tell their friends about it and to prove worth to their tribe.

The quality of the bombs is being widely speculated upon, to be fair. Explosives experts are even saying it appears like someone was trying to make something that looks like a bomb more than something intended to be one. Will be curious to see if they were viable since none exploded.zombie wrote:"Fake News ― Fake Bombs. Who could possibly benefit by so much fakery?"

well we can blame liberals, and it's okay. incitement is okay when it's not toward foo's team.Foo wrote:The quality of the bombs is being widely speculated upon, to be fair. Bomb suspect appears to be registered Republican with a van covered in Donald Trump stickers and loves conspiracy theories.
So much for all the false flag nonsense from the right.

Yup. 100% assclown. Not the point though. But the guy seemed s fucking dick. Lots of previous arrests and a history of violence including bomb threats (and not great ones) but the fact remains he didn’t get this list of people from the phone book.Tiggnutz wrote:Dudes a wacko who clearly wanted to get caught

Re: CNN blames Trump for violence
both sides insinuate and incite and sow division. both blame and condemn the other side. both view their political opponents (and followers of those opponents) as trash. it's not a good look for anyone.
