Making Chili day. New ingredient:

Holy Jolokia Hot Sauce that Reign recommended a while back. Noticed it still in my amazon wait list when I was scrolling to see what was still in there, forgotten all about it.

It's chili day here too! Have to go to a family party in a bit. A huge pot of chili is usually what is served. It is usually pretty watery and no heat though. Not how I would make it. Most people bring hot sauce. You think they would get the hint to kick it up a little. It's the day we are exchanging gag gifts though. I hope I get something fun.

Amazing how entitled people are. I don't normally do weddings, for a variety of reasons. Occasionally, you run into someone cool and they get it, so you do it, but normally we don't.

So I start talking with this bride about her wedding next October. When it becomes clear this is going to be a hassle for the next 11 months, and then she says she is considering another caterer, I let her know we are withdrawing from consideration and she should go ahead and choose the other. She gets pissed.

Just so you know! The sauce I rec'd are not like the flakes. The flakes are not to be fucked with casually, I've ruined plenty of dishes over doing the flakes. I know some of you out there are cook con-a-sewers and shit, but proceed with caution.
