So, I did a thing yesterday. I submitted three poems to a book of poetry that a group is putting together. I won't know if I got accepted until later this year.

I highly doubt I'd get accepted, but I submitted something, which is a pretty big step for me. This means a small group of people I don't know will actually be reading things I wrote, which is a little nerve wracking, but I didn't chicken out and I'm kinda proud of myself for that alone.

My expectations are ridiculously low, so I don't think I'll be upset when I find out they got rejected

I did the fathers day thing with my pops yesterday. I'm leaving him alone today so the rest of the family can bug him.

On days like today it definitely is. Played with Elena and Anja in the morning, had lunch, went and organized Elena's birthday party and played games with her friends, then came home and have now put the family to bed. All told a very nice day.
