What Are You Reading
What Are You Reading
The old boards might of had a section for this but I can't remember. I am enjoying "Marvels" so much I was interested in what others might be reading whether it's comics, novels or whatever.
Re: What Are You Reading
I recently discovered they restarted the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero comic back up a few years ago, so I've been catching up on that. Also reading Debt of Honor by Tom Clancy.
Re: What Are You Reading
Have you ever read "Marvels" Monster? Seems like something you would enjoy being old school and Marvel Comics knowledgeable and all.

Re: What Are You Reading
Been reading Raylan by Elmore Leonard
It was picked randomly as I was branching out to authors I've never ready, and Elmore popped up a lot as highly recommended.
It's okay. I see where he's really strong in the dialogue department, but he's very minimal beyond that, and at least in this case, there seems to be no real structure to the story. Feels like an anthology without letting you know it's an anthology, because the first hundred or so pages, an entire story wrapped up, but now we're onto some other story, with characters that were never introduced earlier, and I have no idea where it's going now.
Supposedly this Raylan character is the basis for the show Justified, which I've never seen.

Nope. But I'm downloading it now. That's the 4 issue 1994 series, right?Tiggnutz wrote:Have you ever read "Marvels" Monster? Seems like something you would enjoy being old school and Marvel Comics knowledgeable and all.

Alex Ross was huge when he illustrated Marvels and Kingdom Come.
Re: What Are You Reading
If you guys have any comics suggestions for me that would be cool. I have only dabbled in DC stuff over the years so there is lots of that for me to catch up on. I have some Frank Miller Batman and Daredevil stuff eyed up so far.

Just ordered it because amazon has free shipping until the 31st
Re: What Are You Reading
Hey Tigg, have you read Maximum Carnage? pretty awesome storyline. Spider-Man gets on my nerves a bit in that one but Carnage and Venom make it well worth reading.
Re: What Are You Reading
I have read some of it but I'm not sure if I finished it. I will add that to my listMonster wrote:Hey Tigg, have you read Maximum Carnage? pretty awesome storyline. Spider-Man gets on my nerves a bit in that one but Carnage and Venom make it well worth reading.
