Red Dead is epic. No question there.

Re: PS4 Discussion
Got my RE2, pretty sweet, but in a couple spots the flashlight didn't exactly do its job lighting up like it should. Aiming's still wonky, like RE7, but not quite as bad. There's a weird effect when I aim, Leon (I'm currently Leon) keeps sliding forward, which has made it difficult to lock your aim on a target, sometimes moving right into them. It's possible the controller's Left Joystick is bad, so I'm buying my own controller soon.
Re: PS4 Discussion
I just beat it (as Leon). A very good remake. Pretty true to the original part 2. The consistent darkness is my main gripe. The shit is ridiculous. One or two boss battles suck ass, but the rest is pretty aces.

I finished the first part of RE2 after sucking it up, then switched to AC Odyssey where I am ruining all kinds of shit. Digging it.

I'm jumping into Resident Evil 4 before going to Claire's story in the RE2 remake.

Re: PS4 Discussion
Have you tried "2nd Run" yet? When I finished as Leon, I had the 2nd run option, which of course was Claire, rather than starting all over again. It's suddenly harder, the zombies fucking follow you through other rooms, and health is extremely scarce with very little bullets lying around. And Claire only starts off with 3 bullets to begin with.
Oye. Frustrating for me.

Re: PS4 Discussion
I haven't done the second run yet, but my first run was Leon Standard, not assisted. Bullets were scarce, zombies would come through certain doors, too. When you said it was harder as Claire, it instantly reminded me of the original RE2. I always found Claire's run slightly more difficult. But the difficulties you described were the difficulties I encountered as Leon Standard.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Have you tried "2nd Run" yet? Eh, sure, they would come through some doors before, but here they're following me around the whole building, faster than Mr. X. I think I've only found 2 green plants this whole time.

The licker early on for her didn't help either. "Hey! A plant, finally!" *next room* "licker!"

Re: PS4 Discussion
I do miss the ammo drops enemies would leave behind in 4, as well as the knife that DOESN'T die. The health bar on the knife was a surprise for the game too. I hear when you go through both runs, you unlock the invisible knife, so there's that to look forward to.

Re: PS4 Discussion
I have found I am not fond of games where I have to heavily conserve my ammo and have weapons that die on me.

Understandable. Extra frustrating when the baddies are bullet sponges. Still loving the game in spite of that though.Reign in Blood wrote:I have found I am not fond of games where I have to heavily conserve my ammo and have weapons that die on me.

I’m with Reign. I’m a fan of games where I’m a badass. Endless ammo or near enough and the ability to decapitate fools with consummate ease.
Re: PS4 Discussion
Fuck. That. You're not a badass if you suck so hard you need infinite ammo and God-level weapons.

Yeah, you are. You might. It be a survival expert. But nobody thought Rambo was a pussy for having too many guns and knives. The knock on an Arnie film isn’t that he had too much ammo to be awesome.Jason wrote:Fuck. That. You're not a badass if you suck so hard you need infinite ammo and God-level weapons.

I'm perfectly fine with people whining about that every time after I beat them.Jason wrote:Fuck. That. You're not a badass if you suck so hard you need infinite ammo and God-level weapons.
