it seems like trump is using things put into place by obama, to restrict muslim entry? even as far as which countries are included.Foo wrote:
As we stand right now, who wants to allow Muslims into the country? When it comes to religions restricting freedom, where do you think Muslims from places like Syria, Iran, and the other nations in Trumps travel ban stand?
Trumps words and actions. He has long embraced that community.
if it had not been given legal status, would he have legalized it? is he simply keeping it legal, to save face and look good? you could be right though. i don't know for sure.

if obama had not already legalized gay marriage, and trump did it, given that chance, it would surprise me.Foo wrote:What are you talking about?zombie wrote:

Gambling, live street fights, sex, drinking in public, pot growing freely along every road. You got the money, Liberterria's your Huckleberry. I'm proud I got 9-10 pages out of this before Foo derailed it all
Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
You sit there and give credit to Obama, twice, for legalizing gay marriage. Where did that information come from? It is not reality because the Defense of Marriage act that Clinton signed into law was overruled by the courts.zombie wrote:when you've got nothing else, take a cheap shot.Foo wrote:Media brainwashing achieved!zombie wrote:if obama had not already legalized gay marriage, and trump did it, given that chance, it would surprise me.Foo wrote:What are you talking about?zombie wrote:

When Obama campaigned he made it quite clear that he believed marriage was between a man and a woman. He cited his Christian faith and belief in God as reasons.
Trump asks for a gay pride flag to be brought on stage and holds it up proudly. He has posed for official White House photos with folks making openly gay gestures and smiled. He has no issue with it.
But you know...praise be Obana and assume the worst from Trump.
Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
Again, Trump is the first president to enter office believing in gay marriage, Not something I agree with, but not acknowledging this and instead giving credit to Obama for doing nothing is pretty amazing.
Obama: "I don't believe in gay marriage"
Trump: holds up gay pride flags and clearly states gay marriage is the law and he is fine with it
Praise be Obama! Who know what the tyrant Trump would have done!

Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
if gay marriage isn't legal, then trump has the chance to make it happen. surprise me, trump!
Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
also, so we're clear. giving credit (whether mistaken or not) is not the same as praising. people can be opportunistic and manipulative. politics is full of that.
Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
Gay marriage was legalized while I was standing around doing nothing. Please give me credit and assume the guy waiving the gay pride flag would have made it illegal somehow.zombie wrote:also, so we're clear. giving credit (whether mistaken or not) is not the same as praising. people can be opportunistic and manipulative. politics is full of that.

i'm aware of the context. still giving credit where it doesn't belong.Foo wrote:You were calling out censorship and freedom under liberals verdys conservatives.zombie wrote:if you can give credit for 80s horror to reagan and bush, how is this any different?Foo wrote:Gay marriage was legalized while I was standing around doing nothing. i was wrong about obama actually directly legalizing gay marriage.
Re: Crime, Poverty, and the Footopia
You are severely misinformed. Obama had nothing to do with gay marriage. The Supreme Court threw away states rights and made it legal. It was coming into states each election year, and most states voted against gay marriage, even California... California... But the Supreme Court way overstepped their boundaries and overruled the will of the people. This is one of the worst things ever committed. And I'm not talking about legalizing gay marriage, I'm talking about ignoring the will of the people. We cease to be a free nation when our choices are thrown away. I don't care if it was something I agreed with, throwing away the will of the people is one of the worst things you can do to a nation. That is literally taken the freedom to choose away from us.zombie wrote:if obama had not already legalized gay marriage, and trump did it, given that chance, it would surprise me.Foo wrote:What are you talking about?zombie wrote:
