Draft chat

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

You fools looking at the same fantasy rankings?!
Nope. I haven't done that yet. I'm gonna have to now though, lol.
I just thought of a guy I want and I looked on a fantasy ranking thing and he should've went like two rounds ago. So I'm not holding out hope for him at all.

Yeah, I just started looking and there are still good players left. Some I totally forgot about, lol.

I figured we'd pull a train and gape this sucker out over the weekend. Hell, even if it all ended now, we'd all be sitting fine, except for Tigg who doesn't have a QB, he'd be one sorry sack of swill.

Looking at the teams, I think mine is the most promising, followed by you. Then Tigg, then Head, then Seb, then the Browns.

Is there a way we can turn the waiver wire into more of an auction kind of thing, where we all have a set budget for the year and people can send in blind bids? I know in the past, myself and others have really feasted on inactivity in the waiver wire when news breaks and it kinda feels like whoever sees a Schefter tweet first has a huge advantage.

What does Schefter have to do with the waiver wire?

What if whoever has the guy in fantasy that tears his ACL gets first bid?

Just another element of randomness/non-competitiveness in the game I think we can improve upon. Auctions in fantasy are fun and it would be a cool way to incorporate that while still keeping the draft as the core of the whole thing. A game within a game.

You get that the point of this is to get rid of that system, right?

Oh. Yeah, then fuck the waiver. I try to stick with my original roster unless they're absolutely god awful or there's a free agent like Vincent Jackson tearing it up.

We'll have to see if we're capable of running it that way. If not, no problem but it would make the game more interesting.
