I don't care about all these super high profile publicity movies. We need a fucking Fleetwood Mac Rumours movie, dude... Seriously... any real life music fan agrees...

Do you know the story of that album? Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were in a relationship for years, even had their own group that never really made it big called Buckingham Nicks. Wasn't too successful, but they both ended up joining this group called Fleetwood Mac and the combination of those five musicians just skyrocketed all their fame. As they were making the Rumours album, there was conflict in the band with everybody. Stevie Nicks left Lindsey Buckingham eventually hooking up with the fucking drummer, Mick Fleetwood. Christine McVie and John McVie were going through a rough divorce and a lot of those songs were written to each other, about each other.

Go Your Own Way was written by Lindsey Buckingham, addressing Stevie Nicks leaving him and eventually hooking up with Mick Fleetwood. The line "packing up, shacking up's all you wanna do" crushed her, and it made her so pissed off because she doesn't see it that way and thought he was just lashing out at her, so she ran to the back and wrote the song "Dreams" in about ten minutes. "It's only right for you to play the way you feel it, but listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness, like a heartbeat, drives you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost".

You can even see the turmoil live on stage, and they turned it into magic. Check out this live performance of The Chain, dude. I recommend watching the whole thing, but if you want to get the gist of what I'm talking about, just watch from 1:32 - 2:00 of the video. Cocaine dust everywhere, emotions cranked to the fucking max and they're making some of the greatest music we will ever hear.

It is wife's birthday weekend and she has been wanting to watch it. I've actually tried to avoid it. It was pretty good. I'm still shocked at how good the dude playing Brian May was.

I'd love to see a biopic about Rob Halford. He literally put gay culture into metal. Lol.

I did like Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was less about the music and more about the Freddie. :p

Forget The Doors movie, Elton John, etc... If they make a movie about Fleetwood Mac, specifically during the Rumours period, my ass will be at the theater opening night. There's nothing they need to dramatize a Fleetwood Mac movie to make it any better, like they do with all these other big music films. That story is so fascinating being told just the way that it played out.

Yeah, I know the stories. It could all come out very Lifetime-ish and run of the mill fucked up 70's relationships and drugs type of deal.

I don't know, I don't see it that way. You never see grade-A music groups on stage making music while simultaneously genuinely yelling at each other during the performance. That shit is just captivating to me. There's another performance of Go Your Own Way where the camera zooms on Stevie Nicks singing backup vocals and she looks like she's about to bust out crying right there on stage. Just fascinating shit.

Finishing up Indian Summer (1993) tonight. Kinda good. Bill Paxton is in it. Sam Raimi has a small role, too.

HBO series, Chernobyl. So far, the first 15 minutes or so seem pretty intense. :o

Stellan Skarsgård is in Chernobyl. So I approve.

Fun fact:Chernobyl disaster happened in 1986. They only stopped using it as a power plant in 2000!

I remember it starting off good, but then the rest of the pilot was a snore. I didn't bother with the rest of the show because of how nose-dived it became.

I've been having a Howling-thon. On V now.

Noticed something new-to-me with the first film, probably because it was the first time I watched it on a 4k screen, but in the scene where Karen and Donna are talking about how cows are supposed to sound, there's a shot of the night wilderness that Karen looks off to. Normally the eyes get drawn to the moonlight on the lefthand side of the screen, but on the other side I noticed someone in the darkness moving up and down. I rewound a couple times too, and looked online to see if there was a "crew member visible" error, but couldn't find anything on it. The person is hard to see even in better resolution, but I feel like it's either a crew member, or is supposed to be TC watching them.

Hopefully the latter. I don't want 4K exposing all the technical goofs in the movies I love. :p

I don't own a 4k screen, though.

Watching Stranger Things. God damn is it enjoyable. British chick is a great actress too. Really love her stoic powerful performance. Initially wasn’t sure about Mad Max but actually quite like her dynamic now.
