Think about it though, it had so much potential. Freddy getting to you through the dreams of your unborn child, it's brilliant on paper. They just gave the paper to the special ed class to complete.

I want to agree, but I know the real reason is because it was extremely rushed to hit the release date, made in less than a year. So it was really handed in by the kid that puts "C" on all the questions of the test just so he could beat everyone else in class to finish :P

After getting Amazon Prime working again, I'm checking out Harry Potter's version of The Woman in Black.

Alice saves it, imo. Freddy's Dead takes the crown for me.

just read on imdb that stephen king and frank miller were offered the job of writing and directing. that could have been interesting.

I have long held that The Dream Child is worse than Freddy's Dead. At least Freddy's Dead is fun, no matter how terrible, but the Dream Child has some of the worst kills by far, and it just felt a hell of a lot more soulless.

Kill wise, Freddy's Dead definitely takes the win. Carlos' death > than any in Dream Child.

I often go back and forth which is worse though. It pretty much comes down to how well the Looney Tunes humor of Freddy's Dead is jiving with me.

The problem of Freddy's Dead is the mystique of Freddy is long gone. All cheese, no horror. And the fucking "happy father's day" shit just sends it to the shitter.
