October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
So I just finished Superstition (1982) and it's rivaling The Gate for best new viewing. The movie itself is good, but the kills are pretty top notch. If ya got it, I'd recommend it.

Haunted High with Trejo is probably my favorite rewatch of the challenge so far. Quality stuff. 10/10

Amanda Donohoe is incredibly sexy. Watching an old school horror by Ken Russell. Lair of the White Worm. Hugh Grant and Peter Capaldi. Lots of fun.

Two movies today. Still on track to my goal (95 total), so all is well. A bit behind on my reviews, though, which I need to try and catch up on before Wednesday.

OG Night of the Living Dead
Comfort movies begin!
Holy shit, this Criterion Collection edition is beautiful. I can actually read the opening credits, they're no longer fuzzy

This script is like something a 12 year old would write for a bunch of 11 year oldsTiggnutz wrote:Dead Shack

I remember having fun with this, but definitely juvenile.Tiggnutz wrote:This script is like something a 12 year old would write for a bunch of 11 year oldsTiggnutz wrote:Dead Shack

Starting up Two Evil Eyes. A movie by Argento and Romero, dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe. Turns out Poe died 170 years ago on this date.
Crazy.
Crazy.
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
I watched the Happy Death Day movies today. Nothing mindblowing but a ton of fun. I can see them becoming part of the usual challenge line up alongside F13th and such.

Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
had i not been expecting what is supposed to come, i would be totally caught off guard from how the film is starting.
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
i get why this was a video nasty. but is this really a horror movie? it's just dumb and gross so far.
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
Meant to ask this at the start of the challenge, but regarding new watches, what else do you all have lined up, and which ones do you expect will be your favorite? Least favorite?
Re: October Challenge Discussion Thread 2019
i have a few picked out. midsommar, crawl, anna and the apocalypse, the uninvited, tag, images, and blue my mind. other than that, i'm just playing by ear mostly. whatever looks interesting.Jason wrote:Meant to ask this at the start of the challenge, but regarding new watches, what else do you all have lined up, and which ones do you expect will be your favorite? i think my favorite will probably end up being crawl or images, based on what i've heard. but we'll see.
