Alien Resurrection was somewhat shit, but Alien³ was okay. Not great, but Charles Dance was pretty spectacular in it. Resurrection, though, was a mess.

Pretty true. 3 was a known production mess and Fincher even disowns it because the producers were meddling dicks, but it's still watchable. 4 is near unwatchable. I say near because the scenes with Douriff are pretty good. Shame it's early on and so little of it.

Watching The Girl on the Third Floor, which is a bad idea, considering my feelings towards ghost/haunted house films. Still, this is some acting right here. I don't know if it's intentional, but everyone seems to be hamming it up. If this keeps up, it might keep me entertained through the ghost nonsense.

well, twenty minutes left. i like the creativity in the visuals. but for some reason it didn't pull me in, like the way other similar visual heavy films have, like lost highway or mandy and the like.

Wasn't terrible, which is high praise from me for a haunted house film. Not much in the way of jump scares, and no real ghost stuff, just kinda weird. Definitely gets the award for most jizz in a non-porn film. And the end was very "let me dump some exposition on you so you know why shit's been happening", which sucks.
