Well, if you do that's 100% your choice and no fault of anyone else's. You're not going to though. And I won't be leaving.

I edited the post to reflect what I thought to be a better understanding of your post. Re: Random Political Comments
This "leave the forum" shit is obnoxious though. Yeah, you may get some people to reach out and reenforce your value to the forum, obviously a nice feeling. You may get me to look like an ass (like I need help with that) and maybe even some people to be momentarily pissed at me. But at the end of the day, I'll be kicking it with my friends here having some good times and you won't be, and that's pretty much all it will be. Save the dramatics, you're not leaving.

This needs to be clear, I want no reinforced value by anyone. Do not bother. I've earned none. Yes, you are an ass. To me and only me. You've made it clear you want no part in the olive branch I've extended 1,000 times.
I've really got nothing else to say.

I don't need symbolic gestures. We're going to argue and get into it because we're both dicks. I've taken issue with two things in the last few days: your reliance on calling people liars or disingenuous when you engage them in arguments, and you flaming me because I called that out, in a thread that had nothing to do with it. You know you were wrong in both cases but because I was the one to point it out, you won't own up to it and give it back to me instead. Threatening to leave the forum is as empty a threat as the million times you were "done" watching football.

Yeah. Not at all how that went down. But I'm done arguing.Headhunter wrote:I don't need symbolic gestures. We're going to argue and get into it because we're both dicks. As to the red state/blue state stuff:

The Republican solution is "don't have sex". Shockingly, people have sex. Will look for sex Ed and contraceptive statistics because while there is good information in here, I'd like to see more numbers.

Lol sure, but fine. Are you done holding your HMF presence as a weapon over everyone's heads? You leave or stay, that's all you.Jason wrote:Yeah. Not at all how that went down. those that would argue against this won't even bother reading the article, cause it's new york times.Headhunter wrote:As to the red state/blue state stuff:

Yeah. I know I'm wasting my time in terms of reaching across the aisle. But I think it's good for all of us to have the information readily available somewhere.zombie wrote:those that would argue against this won't even bother reading the article, cause it's new york times.Headhunter wrote:As to the red state/blue state stuff:

Re: Random Political Comments
Also, the Times are the most sourced newspaper in the country. Even the Post doesn't have the reach of The Times. And tens of millions in this country believe nothing they publish. That's really not good.zombie wrote:those that would argue against this won't even bother reading the article, cause it's new york times.Headhunter wrote:As to the red state/blue state stuff:

Re: Random Political Comments
To add some context, these have all been blue states for the past three elections, btw.Headhunter wrote:States that legally guarantee free access to birth control:

So, birth control is more readily available in blue states. Sex Ed is generally better and more medically accurate in blue states. And we all know which side of the abortion issue they fall on. So given that, what's the Republican solution? "Don't have sex". Seriously. That's it. And as was pointed out in the NY Times article I linked to, teen pregnancy rates are highest in those "abstinence only" states. So Republicans are really doing great work here...

Re: Random Political Comments
how about adoption? what are the stats there? what does the foster care system look like in blue states vs. red? let's put all of the possibilities out on the table.
