Trump is a really dumb human being

What is he referring to?Jmac Attack wrote:"When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total."- Donald Trump
Context is important.
Re: Random Political Comments
It's clearly the quote that matters, as the one J-Mac provided was taken out of context. He's clearly been watching CNN and Stephen Colbert.zombie wrote:don't pretend that is the only thing he's said on the subject. maybe he's trying to clarify himself after something else he also said. but that particular quote you gave seems fair, if that's the only thing he had ever said regarding this.Jason wrote:Just reading his quote is all that needs to be done. There is more clarity in Trump's actual quote than in ANY of the third party outlets that spin it in the way they want you to see it. This is fake news.

Is it possible for Trump to speak for even 30 seconds without saying some completely inane, dumbass shit? Seems impossible.

so give us the context of that "authority is total" quote, instead of pulling another quote that makes him look better and telling us that is what he actually said. it's dishonest and weird of you. both things came out of his mouth.Jason wrote:It's clearly the quote that matters, as the one J-Mac provided was taken out of context. The context is that the news media had been claiming that the Governors supersede the president in terms of making shutdown decisions... WRONG.zombie wrote:so give us the context of that "power is absolute" quote, instead of pulling another quote that makes him look better and telling us that is what he actually said. it's dishonest and weird of you. both things came out of his mouth.Jason wrote:It's clearly the quote that matters, as the one J-Mac provided was taken out of context. By all means, J-Mac, Seb, Head..., if you guys want to continue the homoerotic circle jerk of Orange Man Bad, have at it. Just don't be upset if I pop in occasionally to keep you just a tad bit honest.

Re: Random Political Comments
I’m still amazed that people ever defend Trump for any reason or try to ascribe positive qualities to him or his decision making. Nothing to him matters but his wealth and status, that’s it. Guy is an undisputed trash can of a human being who was deeply hated by his own city for years before he ever ran for office. Between stiffing workers, destroying local economies, running fraudulent charities, groping underage girls, being a horrible excuse for a husband and father (and so much more!), really not a likable quality in play here.

Because we disagree, it's a shitshow? I've always respected you brother. I'd rather have disagreements instead of everyone thinking the exact same way. *shrugs*Jason wrote:Trump is the least authoritative president we've had in all of our lifetimes. The fact you're pissing about this fully shows your bias and why the News & Politics board is a total shitshow.

Wtf? I havent seen Colbert since like 2013. Maybe one or two of his new gig. I listen to 700WLW which is a huge conservative station. Only guy I like on CNN is Jake Tapper. And I haven't seen any of his shows for probably a year. What the hell does that have to do with now? Yeah....I watched CNN on election day. You did too. Where have I ever disrespected you mang?Jason wrote:It's clearly the quote that matters, as the one J-Mac provided was taken out of context. Just a reminder that when Trump leaves office, he will be indicted by the state of New York on several counts of financial fraud.

And I have no idea why people are still watching his daily rallies. This is a guy who averages 10-20 lies per day and defrauded people of millions of dollars over his lifetime, why would you ever listen to a person like that? Turn that shit off. Listen to your local leaders.

Your last line is sooooo true. For those on the left and the right and in between. We put faith in Congress, the Senate, and the presidency. Local leaders is where it should start. There is pretty much no conversation to be had about Trump if both people can’t start from the clear baseline of “Trump is a terrible person.”Jmac Attack wrote:Yup. His university......a scam. Tbh we should always prioritize local leadership in how we view politics, the Trump’s administration’s incompetence notwithstanding. Congress is bought and paid for and the executive branch is always full of hot air. But you can always hold your local leaders to account and it’s tougher for them to pull a fast one on their constituents.Jmac Attack wrote:Your last line is sooooo true. This, I think, we can all agree with. It is easier to fool a nation, than it is to fool a community.
