You guys realize it would not even be illegal for Trump himself to pick up the phone and call Putin and talk about what a bitch Hilary is and how she botched Benghazi during the campaign, right?
Re: CNN Producer Admits Trump-Russia Collusion is Staged
I just now watched an interview where she said herself that she has zero ties to the Russian government.Headhunter wrote:I'm not deflecting, I answered that earlier in the thread. Nobody was throwing shade at the democrats when they got hold of the "Grab him by the pussy" tape. Are they just as guilty, or is this just nowhere near as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.
I'm thinking the latter.
More deflection. Another false equivalence of hilariously epic prprorotions. Stop with the bad analogies and comparisons and just talk about the topic...

If you guys want a full "but Hillary" investigation to appease your demand for whataboutism, I'm down. Let's do it after the Russia investigation though.

if russian collusion is no big deal, then why is sitting on information about russian collusion a big deal? ie: trump pointed the finger at obama, for that very thing. and so has every trump defender in the united states.

Wow! She must be telling the truth. The mob oligarchy that rules Russia would always be transparent, In no way is it politically advantageous for her to deny ties to the Russian government. What makes this GOAT thread even GOATer is it started out as a pure LOL/R.I.P. to the Russian conspiracy claims, and now it's derailed into Russian conspiracy claims.
I don't see the issue, but I'm still glad I get to post this.

That is not illegal.Headhunter wrote:They attempted to extract opposition research from a foreign government, and if that's considered information of value that is illegal.Foo wrote:I know there is some sort of reality disconnect at play here, so let me shock you with a truth bolt:
Trump is an international business person. Presidential campaigns spend millions upon millions doing opposition research. Just how many times do you think advocates, contractors, and employees of Hillary Clinton reached out to foreign nationals and foreign governments to get information on his business dealings? Do you think they would be interested in corruption if approached with information?
"But Hillary...but Hillary...but Hillary.,,"
Just pointing out that any election involving those with international dealings is going to include information exchange with foreign nationals. It is part of the research process. Do you think the government under the Obama Admin is going to say, "Oh, BTW, the Clinton foundation is corrupt as fuck.". That info has to come from the opposition. It is part of why these campaigns are so expensive.
Did you not want Trump opponents to look into his international dealings? How do you think they could do that without talking to foreign nationals?

Political campaigns cannot solicit donations of value from foreign governments, if you've forgotten what the actual story is as you talk about things that don't matter at all.Foo wrote:You guys realize it would not even be illegal for Trump himself to pick up the phone and call Putin and talk about what a bitch Hilary is and how she botched Benghazi during the campaign, right?
Why do you think Trump Jr. took the meeting with the Russian lawyer?

Just pointing out that your hypothetical dealings do not pertain to the one that took place last summer, where Donald Trump Jr. set up a meeting with who he perceived to be a foreign government official with the intent of obtaining state information on an opponent.
If you want to clean up the whole process, fine. The "but everyone does it" is a terrible defense though and you know that. You're not excusing what happened even a little bit.
