I think this is a different species coming over from Asia. The risk to human life is negligible but I think local needs populations would be fucked if they take hold.

Yeah, but I've watched a couple of documentaries on these exact hornets in Asia and never once were they referred to as murder hornets.

Some news anchor probably coined that term like a week ago or something.

Yup. Could believe that extra hype was needed. They are big though. And evil looking. But the name could be toned down.

Our native bee populations are at great risk from the Asian Hornets but humans are at a very minimal risk. Honeybees kill dozens of people every year and we dont call them murder bees. Fear is like oxygen to the media its shameful

Good grief. These videos are gonna get people killed.

I've seen a few too. I was wearing a mask at a convenience store last night. I had just got off work. These masks are required from my work and are recommended by our state. This dude gave me the dirtiest look like he wanted to intimidate me. Another girl laughed at me. (Maybe his girlfriend). Shits getting weird man. This ain't the first time.

"So the media likes to say we have the most cases, but we do, by far, the most testing. If we did very little testing, we wouldn't have the most cases. So, in a way, by doing all of this testing, we make ourselves look bad."

Hmmmm, testing would help tremendously. Why oh why would he want the numbers down by stopping testing? Jesus. Testing would save lives. Thats simple science.

I also saw Trump cross his arms like a petulant child when asked a question by a nurse because he didn't like the question.

That's our great leader, folks.

Also not true either. You haven’t done the most per capita but you’re getting loads more cases because you’re letting the virus run wild by not properly implementing stay at home orders and ignoring social distancing. The testing isn’t exaggerating your per capita impact. It’s revealing how mismanaged this has been from the start.

Yeah, it all stemmed from a New York Times article. The headline was horrible. It also said 40 people were killed by them one year in China. Not very good reporting. Because these things dont really kill a lot of people. Title should have been "Wasps that are pests to honeybees are now on the US" or some shit like that.

On the bright side, I see people making fun of them. I have only seen a beekeeper friend of mine say she is worried about them. She isn't scared for them personally. Understandable.

I watched a show about this old Japanese guy who made his living destroying these giant hornet nests. Dude had balls of steel. Some people do have a severe reaction to the venom and drop dead from a single sting

In Ohio, people have threatened Dr. Acton and they have been protesting outside of her house. There were some with guns and making sure everyone knew they had them. This is intimidation, and dont give me that 2nd amendment BS. I support open carry. I am a gun guy. But it is total intimidation, and is a form of terrorism.

Send me one example of what you're referring to.
