Motherfucker, and no one is playing Lord Varys fat fuck ass in Game of Thrones video game. Stop your shit.Headhunter wrote:When we say new political climate, we’re ignoring the existence of trans people going back to ancient times. Re: Currently Playing
This was easily going to be the best selling game based on how successful and well-loved the first game was. Depending on how many people see the leaks is going to depend on how big of a hit they take. But nearly everyone is annoyed with this and not buying the game. My friend is going to buy it and he doesn't follow politics at all. He can't name our governor or the one before him. He won't let me spoil it, so I'll let him waste his money, but he's gonna be pissed. He's gonna be pissed his favorite character dies, and he's going to see the pattern of people injecting politics into his entertainment. It's happened with Supernatural, it's happened with his superhero movies, and now it's gonna happen with this game. This woke movement is only turning more people against it.Headhunter wrote:I guess we’ll see how this game shapes up. I’d buy it and let you know but I haven’t played anything but sports games in years.Reign in Blood wrote:I don't either. It's cool when done well, nothing more. Woke movement doesn’t seem to have affected Supernatural since the thing is STILL somehow going. And superhero movies...are pretty clearly not losing.

Yeah I was talking about the show. Curious if the last couple seasons felt as stupid in binge mode as they did waiting a year between them.Reign in Blood wrote:Never played as Varys, so no, did not finish game in which I do not start because is lame. Currently reading the books. Show was great at the beginning, but petered out in my view. Books are very solid though, and would recommend them to anyone who was put off by the show or interested in watching the show. Or anyone else.

I talked about it. But yeah, they did, felt rushed, all that. I wasn't angry as some, but definitely such an epic build to a little "wah, wah, wah". Love the show, though, I think I solidified it being top 5, unless a rewatch somehow pushes to top 10. But's always going to be pretty tits for me.Headhunter wrote:Yeah I was talking about the show. Even with as much as I read now, I’m not a fan of double dipping into some shit I already know 90% of. If I read the book first that’s different.Jigsaw wrote:Currently reading the books. Books have a lot more than what the show touched on, but I get you.Headhunter wrote:Even with as much as I read now, I’m not a fan of double dipping into some shit I already know 90% of. Yeah it was definitely great. Even when it went off the rails, it was still unmissable television you couldn’t talk about enough. It’s going to be tough for HBO to find “the next one”. Game of Thrones feels like the last event television we might have.Reign in Blood wrote:I talked about it. But yeah, they did, felt rushed, all that. Re: Currently Playing
Season 11 didn't interject politics too much compared to seasons 7-10 and it had the highest ratings and viewership. Supernatural has been on a steady decline since season 4/5. And rightfully so. The show started sucking before it got political.Headhunter wrote:Woke movement doesn’t seem to have affected Supernatural since the thing is STILL somehow going. If you want to look at wokeness affecting viewership, look no further than Supergirl. 90% of the audience stopped watching during or after the first season. It is the most woke show on the planet and the numbers reflect it.

Re: Currently Playing
I really liked the show. The last season was a peter out, but no where near the uproar people made it out to be. They rushed it in the writing, but the production for all the battles were pretty intense. There were only two episodes that season I was truly disappointed in (4 and 6), the rest I thought were either fine or good.Jigsaw wrote:Currently reading the books. Curious about the books, but without an end in sight and apparently taking Martin too damn long, I'm worried getting into it only to be left hanging for more than a decade.

Hilarious comment I read about the leaks from The Last of Us 2...
Joel survived a soldier’s bullet, clickers, bloaters, being impaled and subsequent infection, David and his sick gangs, and fireflies HQ only to be clubbed to death by a Gamestop Ma’am.

Re: Currently Playing
This is like the next John Wick movie killing off John Wick at the beginning of the film at the hands of some pissed off teenage girl, then the rest of the film is about her injecting steroids and male hormones running round raging with a golf club. Then at the end she kills John's dog too.

This thread was ugly enough to make me not interested in any more discussions. Impressed J-Mac kept his cool as well as he did. Fuck.
