I work in the cyber security business with mostly people with top secret security clearances and they laugh. Kushner should of lost his clearance instantly. It's a joke.

What I read into this whole situation is you basically have political novices doing nothing illegal but making rookie mistakes.
I also believe it is a massive distortion by the media who are not also presenting how typical this is of all high profile campaigns. Sitting down and listening to someone is not a crime. It is not unusual. Any campaign would have done so. Only after hearing the information would they have reported the information of it involved a crime.
I also completely understand how an inconsequential meeting months earlier might not get disclosed.
When I was in real estate all sellers of property had to fill out a disclosure form. It had at least a hundred questions. Four pages of "yes", "no", or "unknown" and a page to expand on answers in long form.
One of the questions: "Has the property ever experienced flood/water damage?"
The property owner marked "no". During an inspection, it was noticed that there was a water mark along the studs of a finished area. Turns out, at some point the owners son was playing in the basement. He broke a water line, panicked, waited for parents to get home, etc. So the basement got a lot of water in it.
The owners cleaned up the water, replaced the flooring, painted, etc. No problems since. While reading the question, the owners assumed the question was about outside water that might come in during a rain or be an ongoing problem. To them, that incident was essentially forgotten the moment it was fixed and was of no interest. They also believed the question had a different intent.
Were they lying or trying to cover it up? That is certainly a possibility. To me it is just as likely everything happened as they stated.
Now, when you are standing in a flooded basement, you remember that. When asked a vague disclosure question, maybe not.
