Why I grew to love the Donald and forgive his haters
Trump is both the greatest politician and worst politician of our era all wrapped up in one person.
Why is he the greatest? Because despite never being elected to any public office, he basically imploded and took over the GOP and then upset the the Democrat's political machine that easily won the last two presidencies and had been running a candidate in this election for the past 8 years. Everything was built towards a Clinton win, but he turned it into Ali-Foreman.
Why is he the worst? Because he does not play by all the established rules and conventions. He is the great baseball player who hits a ball over the fence and runs towards third. He can hit the ball, he just doesn't know the rules of the game. He is the boxer who is not a great technician, but has overwhelming punches and an iron jaw.
His haters (the media, the GOP establishment, liberals) are the people who created the rules. These are the same rules that put us $19 Trillion and counting in debt, created a lost generation of entitlement-addicted drones, and have queered up society so badly we have to create words to describe every individuals "condition" they are struggling with.
For Trump to come in and play by the same failed rules would be an affront to who he is and everyone who voted for him. He won and with it, America won. The rules are changing and that is tough for people who have created the rules. They cry foul and look for cheating, not recognizing they no longer own the game. It is the old football coach who loathes the passing game.
They look to stop his Twitter activity because it bypasses them. They look to stop his candor because it offends the political correctness they created. They look to stop his agenda because it upsets the power structure they control. They are doing what people do when they find their power slipping. the claim illegitimate results to elections, unpopular opposition, illegality, etc. It is the intellectual last resort to justifying your loss. I don't hate them for doing what is natural.

Guys a colossal fuck up but if he starts a movement or
Induces change in politics it will be a win for America.

I think it is like introducing an animal into a new environment. Take a guy who pretty much does or says whatever the fuck he wants, and put him into a calculating, devious environment that is out to get him, and there is some chaos. I think it is wonderful. We need 100 more Trumps to get shit done.Tiggnutz wrote:Guys a colossal fuck up but if he starts a movement or

If you want to see the real problem, look at those fucking RINOs who voted to repeal Obamacare over and over, and now will not even vote to debate it. Scumbags who tricked voters.

The futility of the Republican party is worthy of its own thread and the RINO's are a big problemFoo wrote:I think it is like introducing an animal into a new environment. I stopped by a Republican chicken bbq at our county fair today and gave a speech. It probably would have been more meaningful if I was a Republican or even invited.

I'm not sure Trump haters were after your forgiveness but I was entertained by the post.

Like a Hillary, Stein, or Gary Johnson Presidency.Headhunter wrote:What, you being a Jill Stein guy? That would be interesting.Foo wrote:We should take a moment to ponder the alternatives...Headhunter wrote:I forgive you for voting for Donald Trump, Foo.
Imagine Stein or Johnson going through the media meat grinder.

The only thing Jill Stein would do is vandalize their buildings.

Jill Stein was absolutely horrible, I'll give you that. As Americans we should all be grateful that woman never had a larger platform. She is an idiot.

And if Gary Johnson ever even sniffed the presidency, they would be on him like rabid dogs. Imagine the moment he starts talking about entitlements and social programs.

Actually it wouldn't be that bad, the key difference being Gary by all accounts has character and Trump is almost a caricature of a scumbag. I'm imagining him not lying every time he opens his mouth and that's refreshing.Foo wrote:And if Gary Johnson ever even sniffed the presidency, they would be on him like rabid dogs. Your anticipation of disaster is not adjusted to the reality of Trump being uniquely unhinged.

Uhh... no. The key difference is Gary Johnson appears to be completely and totally psychotic with zero concern for actual issues in the country.Headhunter wrote:Actually it wouldn't be that bad, the key difference being Gary by all accounts has character and Trump is almost a caricature of a scumbag.Foo wrote:And if Gary Johnson ever even sniffed the presidency, they would be on him like rabid dogs.
