Teddy Bridgewater, man! I really like this guy, man. He knows how to throw a football though a tire swing, I tell you what.

Rodgers deal is done. He’s a Bronco.

Klis gets his info from Patrick Smyth, team PR. They’re just chilling everyone out because it won’t be “official” for a bit.Jason wrote:That's what I heard. Then Mike Klis said "nuh-uh"Headhunter wrote:Rodgers deal is done. He’s a Bronco.

The “obstacle” here is financial. They need to figure that out with GB so they aren’t stuck with a bunch of dead money.

Re: NFL Draft: 2021
How in the blue hell are we getting Rodgers if we didn't trade our 9th overall pick just now? I mean, I'm glad Surtain fell all the way to 9, but how the fuck do we get Rodgers? I'm hearing Sutton might be part of the deal.

I just told all football friends it was a done deal. If it's not, that's gonna make me look bad, and you know what that means? I'm taking Headward's ass with me, don't be fucking us, Headwards!

Re: NFL Draft: 2021
In the draft front I’ve only read one thing but it suggested the Raiders picked a guy way too early and that it’s therefore another wasted round 1 pick.
Good thing to wake up to.
Also Rodgers to Denver? Why would that be a thing?

Re: NFL Draft: 2021
Since that ended with egg on my face, allow me to shed some light on what went down:
A couple hours before the draft, the Broncos believed they had a deal in principle to bring in Rodgers, to the point where even Rodgers was telling people it was happening. The problem is the story exploded because someone (two hints: he drinks a lot and looks like a horse) ran his mouth to several people in the local media who immediately took to Twitter and created a wildfire that was out of control. It was becoming a significantly bigger story than the draft, and it pissed Green Bay off. So in a moment of pride, they took the deal off the table. Their view was that they were being bullied into a move they didn’t actually want to make (but knew they had no choice) and to top it off, the Broncos added insult to injury by pantsing them in front of the whole league. This thing very likely gets done if the leaks hadn’t gotten out of control.
What does this mean? Well, the deal is still very much in play. Unfortunately, it does give GB a chance to do some begging. But my understanding is that Rodgers is adamant about being done with GB for several reasons. He loves Colorado and his fiancée is from Boulder. The Broncos were an easy sell for him. This saga is far from over. Last night, they were on the 1 yard line. Today, they’re more in FG range but it’s 1st and 10 and the defense is gassed. There’s still a lot of optimism that this happens.

Two first round picks, a couple Day 2 picks, a good player on a rookie deal and a vet QB.Tiggnutz wrote:Whats that going to cost Denver?Headhunter wrote:It’s done. He’s a Bronco.Tiggnutz wrote:No way the MVP gets traded

Re: NFL Draft: 2021
What?? First and 10?... In field goal range?
As far as I can tell, we haven't even been granted access to Lambeau Field and we can already hear "I Won't Back Down" blasting on the loudspeaker.
