What Are You Reading
Re: What Are You Reading
Back to the Bond Audiobooks with number 8 "For Your Eyes Only" this is actually 5 short stories so I'm interested in this change of format.

I cant say enough about how much I liked this book. All 5 stories "From a View to a Kill","For Your Eyes Only ","Quantum of Solace ","Risico" and "The Hildebrand Rarity" are excellent and left me wanting more. A+ highly recommendedTiggnutz wrote:Back to the Bond Audiobooks with number 8 "For Your Eyes Only" this is actually 5 short stories so I'm interested in this change of format.

Skull and Bones by John Drake. One in a series of prequels to Treasure Island. Good stuff.

I found that one quite interesting. Not a great book, but I did quite enjoy the finale.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Starting Stephen King's Revival today

Did definitely go against the trope of "bad King endings" lol. It took a long time to get to where the story starts, but yeah that finale was pretty damn good.Jigsaw wrote:I found that one quite interesting. I will admit to enjoying the Mr. Mercedes trilogy (even Finders Keepers, which I know got some flak). It's different than his usual style, but I dug it.

What flack did Finders Keepers get? I'm pretty unaware. I know there was a series with Brendan Gleesan (pretty well cast as Bill, imo, though I have to admit I picture Ray Winstone as I read it), but I avoided it, choosing to read it first.

I don't want to potentially spoil anything, but some readers of Finders Keepers found aspects of the first half of the book dull.
That's the vaguest I can get and almost answer you.

Just finished Mr Mercedes this morning. Will most likely fill in some other books before getting to Finders Keepers.
