You’re very wrong Jason but at least you’ve practiced some civic responsibility in encouraging family to get it. That you can’t take it for health related reasons is why more healthy people need to.

See, this is the problem. The government is holding your freedoms at gunpoint and because you agree with the vaccination, naturally you go against those who oppose it. People who refuse the vaccine think the same thing about you. The real boogeyman is the government holding your freedom at gunpoint. Doctor-patient confidentiality used to be a thing. Re: Random Political Comments
And to anyone who still has questions about the vaccine, I did asked my friend if I could repost something he said that I think explains everything in a pretty easy to understand way. I'm only posting so you can make better decisions.-
"With every infection, we are giving the virus opportunity to mutate and create new variants. When you are infected, whether you get sick, or are asymptomatic, the virus injects its genetic code into your cells and uses your cells genetic mechanisms to make copies of itself. Every time a copy is made, there is a chance for an error....that is what a mutation is. Mostly those errors are a disadvantage, or neutral mutation. But every so often, one gives the virus a new advantage and becomes a new variant.
The delta (4th) variant is more contagious, and usually makes people sicker. It is even able to infect some vaccinated people since no vaccine in 100% effective. The real danger is if a new variant emerges that can evade the current vaccines. Then we are back to square one. Or the worst case scenario....a new variant that not only evades vaccines, but is also deadlier.
Cold and flu are both types of corona virus. The reason we need flu shots and cannot cure the common cold is because they have been around humans for literally thousands of years and have so many different variants that we cannot realistically keep up with all the variants. We have the chance to cut this virus off at the pass BEFORE it can get enough variants out there to be as ubiquitous as the cold or flu.
So I don't care about your personal freedoms, I don't care if you don't think its dangerous, I don't care if you think its a hoax. All those are simply ridiculous, self centered reasons for not caring about humanity as a whole. So STFU, and get vaccinated. I don't even care if your employer says you have to get it to stay employed. If you're that selfish, then good....get vaccinated or get fired. If you don't care about other humans, then I don't care that you're now unemployed.
Everybody needs to think this through at a level beyond themselves.
Rant off."

I get it. But we ain't talking about retrieving rain water or making you let everyone know whether you have herpes or not.
Alot of places around here are gonna require a negative test for concerts and some food places for those who are too pussy to get the vaccine.
Re: Random Political Comments
Then we'll just be getting forced jabs our entire lives. This virus became endemic a year ago, and the fact that people think it will go away with vaccines is while we'll always be arguing with each other. If 100% of people got the vaccine, it would still be around. If we wanted this virus to actually die, I'm on record here saying it, you quarantine the elderly and the at-risk people (obese, etc..) and allow it to spread like wildfire and drastically reduce the host reservoir. There wouldn't have even been a second variant. But instead, two weeks to flatten the curve, stay home for two weeks and it'll all be over. Yeah, that was bull from the beginning and it was obvious.Headhunter wrote:You’re very wrong Jason but at least you’ve practiced some civic responsibility in encouraging family to get it. Re: Random Political Comments
As I just said, this virus is already endemic. There is no cutoff. It's here to stay. And luckily it's pretty weak. The only people who deserve to be shit on are not those who demand you get the vaccine or those who refuse the vaccine. It's Fauci, China and the WHO. They are responsible for all of this and are driving us against each other for political gain.Jmac Attack wrote:And to anyone who still has questions about the vaccine, I did asked my friend if I could repost something he said that I think explains everything in a pretty easy to understand way. Just to be clear, the reason I don’t bring up these other groups in this hypothetical isn’t because of some political bias. It’s because most wouldn’t have taken the vaccine under Trump either. The control group in this hypothetical is the cult of Trump. I’m certain we’d have a higher vaccination rate overall because more of these people would have taken it with the open approval of their hero. Not sure how you can spin a better public health outcome (albeit for silly reasons) as some Trump derangement thing.Headhunter wrote:Do you think Trump cult members would take the vaccine in greater numbers if he were president and the vaccine rollout happened under his watch?Reign in Blood wrote:What?
