California is about to vote to recall Gavin Newsom. On all the mail in ballots, you get an envelope to mail your vote back. To vote, you have to bubble in your answer yes or no for the recall, and my oh my, there is a little hole in the envelope that just coincidentally lines up perfectly with where the exact spot is to bubble in your vote to recall Newsom. It also happens to be the same size as the bubble to vote yes on the recall.

This also assumes that any withdrawal plan wouldn’t be the victim of self-sabotage in some form. Military and intelligence brass + people with a financial stake in occupation do not want to leave Afghanistan.

Just my opinion but I think Bush Obama and Trump would of had a better outcome with the withdrawal.

Bush and Obama might have because they wouldn’t have inherited corrupt peace treaties and ceasefire agreements and hamstrung their actions as president and lay the groundwork for abandonment narratives to fuel the Taliban. Trump declared you all out as it were and had no actual plan again.

Biden has honored the US commitment within the timeframes given and begun the process whose chaos was inevitable. He accelerated the departures and it backfired. He defended the afghan governments preparedness and that was visibly bollocks. They evaporated and joined the Taliban. He either didn’t listen or US intelligence is woeful regarding the Taliban which sounds unlikely. But possible. Either way the resulting humanitarian crisis is awful and can only say it’s working even worse than expected. And it was expected to be bad.

Just hope countries step up and help with refugees and those who fought for them. UK already fucked that. Let the staff guarding the British embassy stay and abandoned them. Many are now dead because of it. Really bad outcome.
