statistics have a place, but hunting for them has become more and more problematic. Assists. for instance, used to indicate ball movement and unselfish play. Now guys are pounding the air out of the ball for 12 seconds in isolation to set up the assist. Westbrook and Harden are not exactly Magic and Stockton when it comes to ball movement.
