my guess is that either something about leaning right helped him out, or that there is something actually prove-able to the accusations against the liberal public figures.

Because liberals are in control of the industry where those people were shitcanned. Liberals have been trying to shitcan Trump since before he was in office. Again, if it was up to the left wing, Trump would be gone, but they are not in power. The left is full of raving lunatics.
