They have the best coach and best QB ever, they are not a real case study. The problem is paying okay players like great players, you keep your game changers and draft pieces around them.

Ask Jmac if he would switch places with us. The Ravens imo néed to dump and rebuild but that's hard for teams with a history of winning

I agree fully but it's obviously hard

You don't think I want a Ravens Super Bowl every year? It's hard to juggle great players and salary cap.
What are you on about here? I never said it wasn’t hard to win Super Bowls, I said Elway completely botched everything since. Which he has. Paid average talents, drafted like shit, shitty coaches, can’t find a QB.

I’ve even said in the past I just want to remain competitive while some of the Super Bowl players are still in their primes. Just get in position to make a run at a playoff spot and anything can happen. I’m not stuck in the Manning era bitching for 13 win seasons, just compete. The Broncos just get blown out every week while Elway solemnly drinks whisky and calls the team he built soft. I’m not going to accept that garbage.

That is not what I ment at all. Today if you are fortunate enough to win a Super Bowl every thing changes its harder to keep going. Prices go up. You caught Manning at the end perfect but your defense won that super bowl that gets expensive. I still think Denver will compete this year Case is a big upgrade

So Elway fucked up QB wise but you are still competitive so good job

That happens to every SB winner. Denver is the only one I can think of who has managed to fuck it up this badly. Almost all other SB winners remain competitive in the following few years.

The Broncos will most likely be bad. The defense is closer to average than elite with no more Talib, shitty linebackers and no pass rushers to help Von. Case is an upgrade from Siemian who is as bad as anyone but he was in a great situation last year. Denver’s offense has two offensive weapons worth a damn, both aging 30+ year old receivers whose injuries are piling up. There is not a lot to be excited about with this team, holes at every single position.

Huh? We lost 8 games in a row and were out of most games by halftime. We were as far from competitive as a team can be. Not a good job.

Poor QB play I would say and a bad O line but going into next year I consider Denver a threat.

They gave up as many passing TDs as any team in the league, got no consistent pass rush, special teams were horrible and there are no explosive weapons on offense anymore. Oh and our coach is literally Radio. The whole team is garbage.

I would trade Von Miller and John Elway for Ozzie Newsome and his front office pipeline. I miss getting excited for drafts.

But you also have to take Elway’s jack booted thug minions Matt Russell and Tom Heckert.

I’ll take Ozzie’s failures at WR if I can have his hits in the trenches.

Elway has drafted one good offensive player in the last 6 years, a center who now has bum hips.
