you don't want people griping when they see faults in the system. complacency to the general population seems like something that would be right up your alley. :P
I don't like people griping because they don't think they are given enough.
and i don't either. i don't want hand outs to be the norm. and those that are given hand outs should be given them only in return for "volunteer" work, unless they're unable.
Why don't they just get a regular job? That is "Volunteer" work for pay.

Lots of able people are unable when given the option.
"unable" isn't optional. if there were more jobs to go around, that would also be a good step.
There are more available jobs than people to work them right now. Not sure what else you can ask for.

earlier you spoke about the likelihood of his system giving no reason to start a business. what are your reasons and why wouldn't you feel like doing so?

if that were true, then people would be hiring like mad, no? unless those available jobs require some kind of education that is unavailable to those looking for jobs. i don't know.

They are hiring like mad. Anybody who wants a job has one.

Both locally and nationally, I am a member of business groups, and their stories ALL reinforce the numbers.

Basically, the job market is so good that people tend to have little problem going on "Funemployment" for a month or two and just pick up another job easily later.

We are at full employment. You actually don't want to dip much lower, as that can cause problems.

Also, for many, being homeless is a choice. I do not judge.

what do you mean we don't want to dip much lower in the number of homeless and unemployed? why not?

you judge all the time. :P

also, if we're at full employment, and there are more jobs than people to fill them. those two statements seem to contradict each other, no?

Nope. if you have 110 jobs, 100 people employed, and 3 people unemployed, the 3 people are assumed to be temporary. There are jobs available to them.

if it's unemployed with a position open and available to them to come back whenever they want it back (and won't be filled without notice to them) then that should be classified as something other than unemployed. :P

Nasty women.
Charlottesville had a right winger run his car into a crowd that killed a girl. And that girl was in a walking mall area (they were not blocking traffic). Same type of area my wife works.

Good Ol' Boys.
Uh, they were absolutely blocking traffic. What does where your wife works have to do with a group of professional protesters setting up a traffic barricade with their bodies?

Dude plowed into a crowd, obviously wrong, but let's not act like they were bystanders. It was protestors blocking an area. Did he ram them with premeditation or did he fear for his life? That is the only question.
It's a walking mall. No one was blocking anything. And regarding my wife, I should have been more clear. I've been in a walking mall a million times. Where he started and where he ended would be impossible without intent.

*Dude plowed into a crowd, obviously wrong ", but then you paint him as possibly being the victim. If that was your daughter, I think you would side with me. Or would you be sympathetic to the murderer? Conservatives are right, you don't need guns to kill! Hehe
My daughter would be working, not part of a liberal mob, so she would be fine.

Why were there cars in this "walking mall"?
Around the edges of it, they are allowed for parking etc. No one is cruising for chicks in these areas. Did he not go fast through the crowd? And did he not travel a decent distance? You would maybe have a point if they were blocking a freeway. This guys car was stopped. Then he ran his car through the crowd.
Here is the scene as captured from a drone above. Do you not see they are packed into an intersection, with cars around trying to get through? You can even see a car in the midst of turning around in the middle of the road because they were blocking it, just as the incident occurred.
Would like before and after pics, sir. Jeff Sessions even agrees with the rest of us. This guy was a white supremacists and he did this a half mile from the rally site.

What if the same amount of black dudes from some radical kill whitey group, marched over a whole town shouting "Kill Whitey! Go back to Europe!", your tune would be different. And if not you, because I don't see you as a racist, then I'd say 99% of those Nazi fuckers would have a problem with it. Same ideologies, different colored skin.

Because this country is so divided that we even try to find a way to stick up for the bad people on whatever side people agree with.
It is not really though. I have not disowned a single person for their politics.
Neither have I. But you can't deny the tension between the left and right. We are becoming more and more of those two ideologies. And that sucks.
It is a side effect of good times. We create problems to give ourselves purpose.

If we were embroiled in a massive war that had to be fought or we would lose everything, we would be united. We are so far removed from that sort of thing that we argue over minutiae like it is life or death.

Think about this for a moment. A dude who was on the second highest court for many years got promoted to the highest court. People are acting like it is the end of the world.

Hint: nothing in your life will change. It is not that big if a deal. A bunch of dried up old tarts are worried about abortion? Really? No one wants to fuck them anyway. It is no big deal.
I don't think they will get rid of Roe vs Wade, but they will chip away at it and handcuff it as much as possible. Other than that, I don't give a shit either.

Not saying the guy is not a racist. I am saying they are fucking morons for putting themselves in that position. I value my life more than to be scrubbed out in some contrived battle between us and them. Stay out of the middle of the road or you might get smushed.

I don't like crowds in general because you are putting yourself into a vulnerable position, let alone some antagonistic actions when both sides are armed with weapons.

yes, that is clearly exactly what I said.
You seem to be looking to defend the one person I’d have thought we can all get behind not finding ok.
Not defending him. Saying stupid games win stupid prizes. Block roads where cars and trucks travel, and you run the risk of getting hit. The people stirring up shit got some splattered on them. Did she deserve to die? If course not, but understand the risk your actions carry.

Those people chose to use their bodies in that manner.
Literally blaming victims.
It's obvious even from the picture Foo provided that this guy gunned the car at some distance. Thats like saying a guy crossing the street at 2am on the 4th of July, and gets hit by a drunk driver.....he should have known the risks that a shit ton of people drive drunk on holidays.

People are dumb shits for driving after New Years Eve, drunk or not, also.

Again, I value my life more than putting it on the line for stupid shit.
