I plan on it, as well as ranking of soundtracks.
Wasn't there a transgender chick? She wasn't really a "bond girl", from what I recall, though. I just remember seeing her on Oprah or maybe Donahue when I was a kid. That shit confused me because she didn't look like the typical male to female. (Back then it was easy to spot a transgender is all I'm saying).

Yeah, she's in the background in For Your Eyes Only where there's a bunch of other girls in bikinis. Not super obvious because she's blurry background decoration, but with clearer pictures online she was still a little obvious.

Jane Seymour has to be ranked high. Ursula of course. That Shirley chick from Goldfinger. Damn....I need to watch these films. I've only watched Casino Royale (2006), Moonraker, A View to a Kill, and Octopussy. I only remember Casino Royale (I highly enjoyed it), and bits of Moonraker.

Jane is still my #1, most likely

Who was/is the best Bond?

Film: Sean is just so damn iconic, and aside from Diamonds are Forever and his remake of Thunderball, his record was damn good. So good, Ian Fleming started applied a Scottish background after Dr. No was released, starting with the book version of You Only Live Twice.
Closest to book: Daniel has a dry, cold intensity that matches the book damn spot on (I've only read Casino Royale and Goldfinger), and the only thing really missing is dark hair. He looks the most like Hoagie Carmichael (Fleming's main reference), to me, too. T-Dal is a close second, since he also played it more intense and aggressive.

Yep. I think Craig's benefitted from having very very strong scripts (his top two movies anyway) and in general is a better actor. I don't think Dalton ever got a fair shake at it. I'd also say Daniel is more intense, and seems to have sex appeal that T-Dal apparently didn't (see, he could've used a hairstylist!). Daniel could've had his hair died though. *shruggy*

Was Famke ever hotter than she is in GoldenEye?

I think Pierce was cut from the same cloth of Roger where he focused on suave charm over the physicality of the performances, but was better at it than Roger (imo).

i feel like goldeneye and the faculty were the only times she played to that at all. but i could have missed something else, or just be forgetting it. and she did it better as xenia.

Trivia for this one states it was written with Timothy in mind. Makes sense why Bond seemed edgier in this one than the 3 that follow.

He got sick of waiting for MGM studios to get their finances in order and announced retirement from the role in 94.

As far as an outside perspective, yeah, pretty repetitive. Bond saves the day, gets the hottie, etc... But the movies are great because they touch base on world politics at the time and put their own spin on it.

SPECTRE, for example, was introduced in From Russia with Love. In 1963, the Cold War was at its peak, and the plot in the movie focuses on SPECTRE secretly creating more tension between America and the Soviets while flying under the radar to become the world's biggest superpower. Really intriguing stuff. Definitely helps to have some historical knowledge if you're gonna watch them.

It's my second favorite movie franchise ever behind Friday the 13th.
