I am not sure why you keep calling him stiff arming a woman "accidental contact". Seems you care less about the treatment of women than politics.
After more viewings, I realized he was not only grasping the mic, but he did in fact put his hand on her arm to keep her at bay.

Why did the White House post a doctored video of the incident?

Everyone should come closer to the middle than take a look around and see just how ridiculous and childish everyone involved is.

You know, I have watched the so called "doctored video", and it looks the same as the non doctored video. I would assume they plucked it off the internet.

The guy placed his hand on the woman to prevent her from getting the microphone, which at the time she had right to and he did not. This is not in dispute. Trying to make it abut a doctored video is typical liberal stuff. They care about women when it suits them.
I saw an online article from Elle Magazine that basically called white women garbage yesterday, because they supported Republicans in the mid terms.

contact was made is what's not up for dispute. everything else is point of view. the white house putting up the sped up video to justify their position does not do any favors for them though.
there are a lot of times when liberals overreact and act like partisan hacks. that doesn't mean that it always is. or that conservatives don't also act that way, sometimes.

The truth is typical liberal stuff?
Some of you are so off the rails, it's insane.

These points would be so much easier to get through if the White House could just once stop stepping on rakes for God's sake stop fucking tweeting.

And no, this post doesn't warrant a "but both sides" non-sequitur.

It's a double-edged sword. He may shake off his loudest detractors if he started acting like a decent human being and not the piece of filth he's proven over decades to be, but he'd also lose his most ardent supporters.

I like the tweets. I like to hear directly from the president.
Every day you get a few nuggets plus he gives the little impromptu press opportunities every time he is traveling. We have heard from him thousands of times in two years. The media hates him so it gets picked apart, just as InfoWars would have done with Obama. I would have still preferred Obama communicate with us much more and I can draw my own conclusions.

the white house did use the sped up version to justify their position. and it is a distraction from bigger things as well. but trump thrives on that kind of thing.

Did Acosta make contact with the woman in an attempt to hang onto the mic which he no longer had a right to? That is why he is in trouble. They witnessed it and the intern felt it. The video had nothing to do with his actions.

There was no reason to release any version any sane person could see from the million times it aired on tv that Acosta made an ass of himself and needed to have his shit taken. So what's the worst thing you could do,you tweet out a doctored version and change the conversation.WTF!!

he did hold onto the microphone. they made contact with each other. it doesn't look like it was intentional from either side, but it was as a result of him being a brat with the microphone.
