There are uncomfortable things that occur in that movie, no doubt. But I definitely classify it as a top tier comfort flick. That soundtrack is beautiful. I have the vinyl and I used to crank it on Saturday mornings or afternoons when I worked Monday-Saturday as a truck driver and got off work. Tranquil.

You can truly feel the wilderness in that movie. They literally filmed it in the mountains of Utah for the most part. The first time I watched it was before bed one night. I woke up the next morning and watched the whole thing again. The focus is Jeremiah on his journey of becoming a mountain man. I don't want to say too much. It'll be nice to go in fairly blind, but everything about that movie just feels so raw and reel. So much wholesomeness, devastation. You can feel it all. I think it's a top ten all time movie for me, but movies like that are right up my alley.
