Song of the night 8-)

Legend has it this song is about Clark Gable and his influence on women in Hollywood. Harvey Weinstein-esque.

Yes!
you mentioned "an accurate depiction of natives" before. is that only a part of the film or the focus?
The focus is Jeremiah on his journey of becoming a mountain man. I don't want to say too much. It'll be nice to go in fairly blind, but everything about that movie just feels so raw and reel. So much wholesomeness, devastation. You can feel it all. I think it's a top ten all time movie for me, but movies like that are right up my alley. You're kind of split on westerns, but I imagine you'll enjoy it.
the words wholesomeness and devastation should never go together.

I’m going to assume you’ve seen the well known Coppola, Scorsese, Kubrick stuff or are aware enough to seek it out. But that’s hard to even narrow down, here’s just a lot of shit I would recommend.

Easy Rider
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Wild Bunch
The French Connection
The Last Picture Show
The Last Detail
The Long Goodbye
The Sting
Chinatown
The Parallax View
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three
Dog Day Afternoon
Nashville
Night Moves
Three Days of the Condor
All the President’s Men
Sorcerer
Days of Heaven
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

Also perfect timing to watch Chinatown, with water in L.A. being topical.
