Because the access to things that allow you to murder faster and in greater numbers is not sufficiently well-regulated.
The business atom marathon bombers used cookware. Others have used common hardware store items. Others have used fuel.
Funny how liberals want all these regulations, but fight common sense policing like stop and frisk.
Stop and frisk has been proven to be not effective and encourages racism.
If you show me something that is good, then I'll support it. Something effective at actually doing something good for the problem.
There's been direct correlation between gun control, and reduction of mass shootings. I don't know if there is a link between cookery control and bombings, but even then, I'm happy to discuss limiting cookery items and hardware if that is what seems reasonable.

How is gun control working out in Chicago? It does not work, yet you are all over that. And yes, stop and frisk is effective, but you do not want that.
You keep putting politics over results and then get surprised by poor results.

Like I said, I'd rather take some good results than none. Chicago does seem to have a significant problem, but the problem is definitely not made worse by gun control. It has a lot of factors. And every study I've found shows that stop and frisk is not effective. Feel free to find one that contradicts.
Doing nothing and having the worst possible results is what you currently have. Anything that improves that is not "poor results" in my book.

For context, there is a mass shooting in the US on 9/10 days. All year.

"whatever you're doing, you're not doing enough" <-- is that to mean that you think some small level of homicide by gun is acceptable? no, of course not. we do have regulations. we do have laws in place. could it be better? definitely. but that is not what is being pushed for. whenever gun control comes up, it is about removing all legal access to guns (at least for the general public) as if that will put an end to these tragedies.
Is this sarcasm or have you taken to parroting conservative fear mongering?

Everything is binary with the right. ALL this or ALL that.
And nothing is more funny than these man-children who think everything would be just fine if more people at the scene had guns and fantasize about getting in shootouts with some nutjob and saving the day. Bunch of grown men with the emotional maturity of 13 year old boys thinking a gun makes them Dirty Harry.

"I'm actually not even sympathetic because country music fans often are republican gun toters".
I knew the typical leftist is probably borderline scumbag, but holy shit...

lol, I do want to know if there is anything more behind this. I did say to the broskis at work after the quick read and such I had on it "what the fuck is wrong with him?". No need to bring up the budget, no need to bring up Katrina, and why are you passing out paper towels.
