Derek Carr threw a ball into the ground on a 4th down at the end of the game yesterday after getting chased out of the pocket. He's broken.

Saw that one. He is no athlete. Looked every bit a 41 year old guy
That ain't John "vanilla" HarbaughHeadhunter wrote:Bring in someone who can give Denver an offense, they look prehistoric at times compared to other offenses in the league
That's why I'm not crazy about the idea. He's a good coach but I don't want another CEO-type coach, give me someone who can scheme one side of the ball into success, preferably the offense.Tiggnutz wrote:That ain't John "vanilla" HarbaughHeadhunter wrote:Bring in someone who can give Denver an offense, they look prehistoric at times compared to other offenses in the league
Who's the best young-ish college coach for such things, Headward? I like McVay so I'm fine with trying something unconventional with a younger coach out.Headhunter wrote:That's why I'm not crazy about the idea. Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma will have his choice of jobs if he wants to leave. But Oklahoma is such a great gig, it would be hard to leave. They are by far the best program in the Big 12, which means great talent from Texas every year. Plus, he gets paid like a top 10 NFL coach already having to kowtow to the whims of a domineering GM like Elway. I'm not sure he can be lured away unless it's Dallas and Jerry comes with the Brinks truck. With Denver's ownership situation, they have been pretty cheap in recent years with coaching staffs and I'm not sure that will change. This might also be a problem for luring in someone like Harbaugh.Reign in Blood wrote:Who's the best young-ish college coach for such things, Headward? I thought he did some pretty good things in the run game. Kaepernick in the Pistol formation. Off balanced formations. Three RB backfields.Tiggnutz wrote:That ain't John "vanilla" HarbaughHeadhunter wrote:Bring in someone who can give Denver an offense, they look prehistoric at times compared to other offenses in the league

Both have had Greg Roman coach their offenses though.
Very much so. I believe there is a Moneyball opportunity in the NFL for that offense. If you think of value positions on offense, FB, guard, TE, are all positions you can get top guys at good salaries. Then ride a couple young HBs on their rookie deals, one cut and go guys you can grab all day in the draft. Gives you shitloads to invest in defense.Reign in Blood wrote:Foo was a Roman guy, so probably it.Headhunter wrote:That's JimFoo wrote:I thought he did some pretty good things in the run game. You think they actually cut bait with Flacco next year?Tiggnutz wrote:John Harbaugh should be looking for a job next season but it will only work if a good OC is already there.Time to blow up the Ravens. Really can't remember a year so fucked up for Maryland sports teams.
