This is only the second movie in the series I've watched. This first story is very cool
Second story was decent with good gore

Firing up American Gothic (1987) (1988) for a first time viewing.

The internet can't decide which year it came out and neither can I. :P

Just how good is this movie? What's the consensus on American Gothic? It's early but I'm enjoying so far.

For a group of people who just committed trespassing, breaking and entering, and getting a free meal from the homeowner couple, they are awfully rude.

I like it. I'm a Michael Pollard fan. He makes everything better.

Imdb says American Gothic came out in 1987 and I stopped trusting them when I noticed they change the year of release on many of their movies so I'm going with the majority in saying it's a 1988 movie.

First 5 minutes are better than the entire first movie

An even 8.0/10 for American Gothic.

Now onto All Hallows' Eve. Saw it once a long time ago. Didn't make the Terrifier connection until a few days ago. So I'm gonna watch this, eventually get to Terrifier 1 & 2 and then hit a screening of part 3.

I remember thinking this movie kinda sucked until the last 10-15 minutes and it kinda made it worth it. Remember almost nothing. Let's see how it goes.

i haven't seen all hallow's eve, but it's a different actor and he's only in a small part of it from what i hear. so it's not really necessary probably.

So far it's no Raging Bull.

Technically nobody should see that. :P

Not sure if that was supposed to be the actual devil raping the chick or if it was a guy in a mask. If it was supposed to really be the devil they should have tried a little harder with the practical effects because it's basically just a Halloween mask. Lol

The acting is pretty bad. Bad acting is not a problem if the movie isn't taking itself seriously but this movie is definitely aiming to be more serious than not, so it's hard to get into the element when it sounds like people are reading from a page.

I'm gonna jump right into Terrifier when this one ends. Expecting better things in the trilogy.

Second segment is a bit better than the first segment.
