The only real body horror is in the last thirty minutes. The first hour is very heavy handed beauty in media messaging(that continues throughout, but that's all the first hour is). The plot, while interesting, doesn't make a damn bit of sense if you think about it for more than a couple seconds. It's well made, well acted, but it's mostly fluff with a bit of gore thrown in at the end. Dunno where the hype is coming from. Maybe people are happy just watching girls in tights shake their ass for half the runtime.

There are roughly two scenes that contain gore of any kind. One is quite a long scene, though. I honestly don't think the body horror counts as I found it more funny than gross or scary. Honestly, it comes off as kind of a silly film.

It's probably mostly silly (and it seemed to be the intent), with the main point of the movie focusing on the internal conflict of Demi Moore struggling with aging. There is a glaring hole in the plot that is unaddressed and brings the film down a bit for me. But the booty shaking is severely lacking (imo) and they could've doubled down on that. :P

7.1 is my score.

7.1 as a film or as a horror film specifically?

I'm obviously the odd man out here, I just don't see the appeal other than the final scene. And I don't feel it was worth sitting through two hours to get to. Interesting premise, a couple good gore scenes, a couple genuine laughs. That's all I got.

Kinda defeated the purpose of the film for me as it was glaringly obvious and made everything that happened make fuckall sense.

I'm between you and Tigg. I can understand the total love and admiration and can also see it's definitely not for everyone. I'm a bit in between, with the plot being the biggest strike against it. Which is a fairly big strike. :P

I just rank based on feeling. I guess as a horror film.
