6. LGBTQ issues - For the record I do not agree with their lifestyle choices. But I also do not agree with the government or anyone subjugating and discriminating against this group of people for being different. (Dems)
what do you mean you don't agree with their lifestyle choices?
To be clear I have no issue with someone being gay, one of my best friends is gay. The trans thing is more difficult for me. I am working on being more opened minded about it. Challenging myself to try and understand why someone would want to transition. But anyway, that I what I meant by that. I don't agree with the trans thing entirely but I am trying to understand it.

It's ok to admit that it's weird for a man to put another man's cock in his mouth or ass.
i was genuinely asking what he meant. if it just comes down to not being into gay stuff, or preferring the opposite sex, that's all cool and fair.

oh okay. that is outside the norm. it can be difficult to wrap your head around. ideally, surgery would be seen as less necessary as a step to transition but the bigotry and shit would have to come down a lot to get to that point.

I do my best these days to try and find common ground with people despite differences.

uh huh. focus on common interests and politics. focusing on the differences between you may be uncomfortable to them too.

The unfortunate side of that is a lot of people get butt hurt too easily discussing politics and/or religion when confronted with someone of a differing opinion. Then conflict starts. Even I still get drawn into those heated arguments at times with some of my cousins. Hence why I am not looking forward to the holidays this year lol

common politics?
it can be rough when you disagree, especially when it's face to face. casual and friendly is much better if you can keep it civil. but such discussions are going to happen inevitably, make them be the unreasonable one if anybody is going to be.

Keep in mind that the far-left very much supports gun rights. It's liberals and so-called 'progressives' that don't.
Being 'woke' is not a sign of anything far-left, it's a sign of being liberal.
We need to make sure that we understand this. If you're a leftist, you are anti-capitalist, and hopefully voting for socialist parties. If you're a liberal, you're a supporter of capitalism (regulated, perhaps, but you still believe in capitalism), and likely vote straight Democratic and yell at far-leftists like myself, and related, if you're a liberal, you may idioically believe in the horseshoe theory.
Leftists and liberals are not the same, and do not have the same goals.
This is mostly directed at that picture Jason posted that seemed to imply the far-left was somehow 'woke,' and it just doesn't work that way.
Being woke is not being liberal. Being liberal is anti-censorship, anti-war. Being woke is colorful haired weirdos who shame anyone who thinks there are only two genders and wants others' lives ruined for using pronouns that they deem improper.
Liberals are not remotely anti-war, though, nor do they seem to be anti-censorship, as they're the ones screaming about "fake news" all the time.

Which is why I don't lump Jiggy in with all the crazy woke leftists.
Correct. He is garden variety feminist commie.
I have some hot takes even in leftist circles - you won't generally find communists who vote for the Libertarian Party - but I appreciate the compliment.

Please release those files, Trump.
Honestly I'm 50/50 on whether or not he survives his four more years as president.

I really hope Trump gets to implement his policies unfettered and with no opposition. Possibly with the exception of on climate change where 4 years might finally doom us all. But everything else I hope is railroaded into place.
Seb! How have you been?
Always good! Living my best life in the UK. Sunny uplands and all that. Hope you’re doing ok!

Doing well old friend. I'm living on the East Coast here in the U.S. now. Beautiful era, less heat and less BS that comes with living in Dallas. Life is good.
Are you still in the London area?

So Trump’s new Attorney General is a pedophile who was also involved in a coke-fueled auto-erotic asphyxiation incident that led to a man's death, which he and his rich politician dad covered up.
A wonderful endgame for QAnon freaks. Save the children! From Matt Gaetz, Trump’s Attorney General.

Dropped in 2022, brought back in 2023. The investigation was still going on, but Gaetz just resigned, which means the committee lost jurisdiction to continue its probe. They were supposedly about to release their report in the next couple weeks, too.
The double standards in politics is nuts. People freak out about someone being on Epstein's flight log, but only if it's someone they don't like(my stance is fuck 'em all). They claim certain people are pedos with no evidence, but others aren't when there is evidence. I hate kids, but fuck pedos. I don't care what your politics are, you deserve to rot. Anyone that's willing to ignore evidence because of politics can fuck right off too.
