100%. I don't see how anyone could actually think for a second these people are comfortable with the dynamic. They're just cowards.

I really just posted it for the lulz, several laugh out loud moments throughout for me.

Indeed.

Lke 1/100 of my posts are horror-related, another 75% or more is either sports or politics/social, and the rest is just dicking around. Not that I don't enjoy horror, just doesn't consume my thoughts all that much, especially in terms of wanting to discuss.

All of them do. Answer for your pleasure.

Shush, hush please.

I'm the extreme outlier.

I love you guys, but it's getting old. Has Foo, Jason, Reign, or Tigg ever actually changed the minds of myself, Seb, J-mac, or zombie? I don't know, but so many of those conversations personally strike me as pointless.

Like I said, you can call me a snowflake, or say, "Are you against free speech," or whatever, but horror is why I'm primarily here, and I'll be honest and say that it doesn't seem accurate for every active member.

Mini-rant over, and I hope you all have a good night.
I am here to talk among friends. If someone brings up a topic, I will discuss it if it interests me. If not, I will move on and maybe try to start a discussion about what I am interested in.

If being a snowflake is working out for you, I support it!

This would be the test for that family: Give each one of them a million dollars, and see if they stay together.

It is a shame the DC animated movies never get theatrical releases. They are really great. It is almost mind blowing how different in a good way they are from the live action stuff.

if the spiderverse thing works out for sony, maybe it will give dc the push to start theatrical animated films too, and marvel as well potentially.

A commercial for that is what made me think of it, but I really don't want the pressure of them being $100M CGI spectacles. I feel like the DC movies have been so good because the lower budget of traditional animation allows them to take risks and not appeal to everyone.

to those of you objecting to the girl and the guys' relationship, could you picture yourself being with two girls, that way? just curious.

Changing the genders doesn't change anything.

possibly. it also limits them, in terms of where and how they're gonna be released. if a traditional animated flick played well, theatrically, again. that would change things though, probably.

i think a lot of guys would feel different if they were the one reaping the rewards of the open relationship, but i like that you're not one such guy.

Just feels like they would not want the scrutiny of dealing with marketing an animated flick with such violence and dark themes. Batman shooting a supervillain in the head from behind, Joker raping Batgirl, Wonder Woman decapitating Aquaman's wife, etc...

I think those guys are not looking at the long term reality. What may be a fun weekend is a lot different than a lifelong commitment.

well, yeah. i haven't actually seen those flicks you're talking about. but there are different ways to take risks. if what you mean by that is superhero exploitation, then maybe it's gonna have to remain on the small screen, or else be live action rather than animated.

I would not say it is exploitation, but simply telling other stories from one shots and graphic novels. Just like you would probably not consider The Watchmen to be exploitation.

Watch some scenes on Youtube. Flashpoint, Gods and Monsters, Killing Joke, Dark Knight Returns, Under the Red Hood, etc.
