Are there not significantly more black/Hispanic/Asian actors than there are blind/deaf/paralyzed ones? If so, wtf is this conversation?

"We cast Martin Luther King Jr. with a white guy because there are significantly more white actors than black actors"

When they needed a 300 pound black girl for "Precious" they did casting calls and found unknowns.

Also, please stop evoking "PC police" and other such nonsense. You conservatives have fucking ruined the battle against political correctness and made the whole thing a complete embarrassment to everyone who ever found it worthwhile. You can't even convey an anti-PC opinion without sounding like a complete parody of a person anymore. Nobody wants to hear the same rehashed half-baked messaging about "PC" in 2017, it's now completely eyeroll-inducing and it's really an unfortunate loss.

No and I probably won't because I don't care.

Conservatives have cornered the market on really annoying, whiny and off base complaints about "PC". Like I said, you guys ruined the entire thing and now it's treated as a joke.

The last time hearing someone complain about PC wasn't as excruciating as nails on a chalkboard was the South Park season with PC Principal. Everything since has ruined all of our great progress. Really a sad story.

the article is basically trying to make diversity extend to people with disabilities. you don't really need to read it. it's the same thing when jared leto got shit for his role in dallas buyers club. outrage for the sake of it, like i said at the start.

well, yeah. i think foo just wanted to bait someone into an argument. but the person who wrote the article is just being outraged for the sake of it. that's what i meant.
