Reign in Blood wrote:DancesWithWerewolves wrote:zombie wrote:what are the anticipated flicks for 2018? (preferably horror)
Meg, Insidious 4 (for curiosity), The Nun (again curiosity), The Slenderman, Buzzard Hollow Beef, and Halloween (if it ever moves into shooting). I haven't heard much regarding 2018 slots for horror. Which is a problem, imo. We need more!
Thing is, we don't get many that hit theaters anymore. But a shit ton go direct to dvd.
And most are terrible when they're direct to dvd/streaming.

Well.......guess who is going to be the second shift plant supervisor for Cintas in Lancaster, Ohio? This turdball!
I didn't get the 1st shift plant supervisor position I originally applied for. However, they wanted to put me on second shift, so I can actually train for the main plant supervisor (3rd in command, baby!). I am so happy that my bosses have come up with a plan to help me move forward in my career with them. But ya know what? I earned the nickname Kocaine Kenny because I work fast and no one can challenge my work ethic (my plant supervisor's own words!). $80,000 a year is in my sights.

Thanks man. Not sure what the pay raise will be for my new position. It is a decent hike for sure. But, if I work hard and show them they are not making a mistake, I will be moved into the main plant supervisor position down the road. $80,000 would be nice. Cintas is a good company to work for. They have one in Denver, and I can pull some strings for you!

If I'll be starting at 80,000 it's a move I may consider. :p

No doubt. In Cali, that would be poverty, ha.
True story......A buddy of mine is an architect. He has been doing it since he was in his early 20s. He was making 60 grand here in Ohio back in the late 90s/early 2000s. He moved out to San Fran in 2003 for a job making $100,000. That is $40,000 more on the year. He said he was actually more comfortable making the $60,000 here in central Ohio. Thats fucking nuts. He has moved back since then, and what he learned out there helped him make a very comfortable living back here. Still.....damn....$100,000 a year here is a good life.

Funny Jason kept mentioning After Midnight in the Anthology thread, Scream Factory's got a special edition of it coming out next month.

Nice J-Mac, very nice. I wouldn't know what to do with that kind of a raise, lol.

I have seen that movie on Amazon, I think. I do have the Shout Factory app for Roku. I need to see if they have it. They do have Night of the Demons, and they have a commentary version, which I need to check out. They also have a commentary version of Body Bags. And the Roku app is free. Do ya have a Roku?

Thanks! The $80,000 is the goal. I just gotta make it happen and not fuck this up. Pretty much a 2-3 year plan for me. Right now, I make almost $40,000. Considering I started out at $10 an hour back in 2013, I have a lot of hope. But it is totally up to me.

Cali isn't the Dreamland I always thought it was growing up. All of the 80s movies glorified moving out to California. The hair metal scene totally glamorized California. I am disappointed for sure.
If I lived in California, it would be upstate. For such a beautiful state, it has a lot of problems. Ohio is cool.....if you're from Ohio, lol.

I have little doubt that Northern California is nicer for the most part.

My father-in-law travels around the country on hunting expeditions. From the pics he showed me of Northern Cali, Oregon, and Washington, I could totally live there. Absolutely beautiful.
He also travels to places like Maine and Newfoundland to hunt bears (unsuccessfully so far haha). My wife's dad is a cool mofo. Dude loves me. He also gave me my first real gun.
