I’ll just give you some from this year: Anora, Dune 2, The Substance, Hundreds of Beavers, Furiosa, Longlegs, Horizon, Hit Man. Probably about on the same level for me as Twisters.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:56 pmGo on, name plenty.Headhunter wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:52 pmI thought Everything Everywhere was trash but I can name plenty. The opening sequence was off the chain, I want a whole movie of that, nothing but crazy Roman warfare. Definitely some problems with it, mainly script where they Hollywoodized a little bit too much. But the direction, cinematography, sound, action etc. all great. Struggling to think of a better movie in the last 5 years or so. I know a lot of people might say the Dunes or Oppenheimer but neither of those appeal to me, I think Gladiator 2 has it in a headlock.![]()

I liked it. Probably a little better than run-of-the-mill for me but not exactly terrifying.DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 10:42 pmShe says Sinster is the scariest movie she's ever seen.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:48 pmwhat are her good horror films?DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:45 pm Oye, a friend from College is trying to come to me to vent about the "bad" horror movies her BF is making her watch. This isn't the first I've heard this. Am I missing something with Sinister? I liked it but seemed pretty run-of-the-mill to me.
What I figured, Furiosa only contender. Horizon, lol.Headhunter wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 10:24 pmI’ll just give you some from this year: Anora, Dune 2, The Substance, Hundreds of Beavers, Furiosa, Longlegs, Horizon, Hit Man. Gladiator 2 was solid dumb fun. I liked it. Set pieces + Denzel carry it to a nice 7/10.
