What's your opinion of the Black Christmas remakes?

the first remake with michelle trachtenberg and all is fun splatter. i loathe the newer one. it only feels like they took the name and nothing else. meh.

The 2006 version was alright, as you said splatter fun but the original is one of the best slasher films ever made imo.
