I didn't care for it either. Just didn't hold up and was too slow in some episodes.

In the game they hinted at his gayness. In the show they shove an entire episode down your throat. I'm just worn out on gayness in half of every movie and TV show now.zombie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 1:28 pma show doesn't have to agree with your politics to be a good show. but fair enough, i guess.

I saw this movie in theaters like 15 years ago called No Strings Attached. There was a chubby, flamboyant gay guy in it and I thought he was funny. They overplay that card so much that if I go back and rewatch that movie I'll probably just find him annoying. I see the agenda is all and it takes me out of the element.

Play the PS4 game. It's one of the greatest games ever made and the best story ever told in the gaming world.Lazerus wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 1:32 pmI didn't care for it either. Just didn't hold up and was too slow in some episodes.

i think you're letting politics or bias ruin things for you. but maybe there is more to your distaste or lack of interest than what you've expressed so far.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 1:40 pmYou can just say it. On the subject of Gayness in movies & TV shows
I do agree with Jason's statement about it being overplayed. In that past 10 years it seems like just about every movie or TV show has a gay character shoehorned in and it feels soo forced that it's annoying. I've seen reboots where a character is suddenly gay when he wasn't in the original. Now I can understand the marketing to that audience or whatever but it's played out at this point.
All that said I do not allow my opinion of this determine if a watch a movies/TV show or not. If i drop a show it's because the show either just sucks from the start or becomes boring over time.

That was the best episode tbh
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

I might be a bigger fan of The Last of Us (game) than I've probably let on. So I met the show with skepticism going in and it didn't spark the same love I had for it two episodes in.Lazerus wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 1:45 pm On the subject of Gayness in movies & TV shows

Re: Jason's List of Shit to Watch/Rewatch
and before that "gay" was used to mock and shame. trans was something gross and insidious etc in mainstream media. times change and people over-fixate on the prevalence or "agenda". just watch what you want to watch or not and try to make sure it's because of the show or movie and not baggage that you're bringing into it.Lazerus wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 1:45 pm On the subject of Gayness in movies & TV shows

I pretty much know what happens. Lol. I've played the game 10 times.

Re: Jason's List of Shit to Watch/Rewatch
That's what I didn't like about the show being remade and about the part 2 game. The first game was so perfectly done that expanding on it would only oversaturate it. It never needed to be messed with.
