The Surfer was pretty good. The first 2/3rds felt like it could've been a prequel to Hobo With a Shotgun, the last 3rd didn't see coming (I did avoid reviews and trailers), and there are parts where it feels like 90's Oliver Stone took the directing reigns, handling the drug/hallucination vibe portions lol.

Believe it or not, so am I. I haven't seen much of this show at all and mostly only knew the theme song. I'm liking it well enough so far, the pilot episode where Diane's husband ditches her at the bar to start off the series was solid, but I'm not that deep into season one and the show hasn't even found its footing yet. Still no Woody or Kristie Alley yet. But I'm liking the silly chemistry between Shelly Long and Ted Danson.

Is it on TCM or something?
