There are also degrees of fiction. A story can be totally false, the characters, the events, etc... but if a fully fictional movie takes place in the 1870s, odds are you will still see people riding horseback, etc...
The movie Hondo is a fictional western movie. But the events of the movie more accurately represent history in the era that it takes place than most movies in that era.

I'm reading random, non-spoiler reviews on the internet.zombie wrote:someone told you something though? or you assumed cause it's hollywood?Jason wrote:I'm avoiding specifics, as I actually want to see the movie at some point.zombie wrote:so, what was it that you heard was done to push the liberal agenda?Jason wrote:I haven't seen it, u retards!

Re: February 18th 2018
fair point. hondo may be more historically accurate. does that make it a better movie than unforgiven or the searchers or whatever? would knowing that it was more accurate change your enjoyment of the film?Jason wrote:I'll give an example.Jason wrote:I'm asking if it substitutes truth with political correctness. the internet likes to claim that a single movie is both too left and too right, depending on where you're reading. just saying.Jason wrote:I'm reading random, non-spoiler reviews on the internet.zombie wrote:someone told you something though? or you assumed cause it's hollywood?Jason wrote:I'm avoiding specifics, as I actually want to see the movie at some point.zombie wrote:so, what was it that you heard was done to push the liberal agenda?Jason wrote:I haven't seen it, u retards!
Re: February 18th 2018
Hondo was more in-depth of the events in that era than Unforgiven, but Unforgiven is the superior film.zombie wrote:fair point. hondo may be more historically accurate. does that make it a better movie than unforgiven or the searchers or whatever? would knowing that it was more accurate change your enjoyment of the film?Jason wrote:I'll give an example.Jason wrote:I'm asking if it substitutes truth with political correctness. I don't know, it would totally depend on each individual movie.

Which films do you see criticized for being too right?zombie wrote:the internet likes to claim that a single movie is both too left and too right, depending on where you're reading. just saying.Jason wrote:I'm reading random, non-spoiler reviews on the internet.zombie wrote:someone told you something though? or you assumed cause it's hollywood?Jason wrote:I'm avoiding specifics, as I actually want to see the movie at some point.zombie wrote:so, what was it that you heard was done to push the liberal agenda?Jason wrote:I haven't seen it, u retards!

good call. try to judge the movie on it's own content.Jason wrote: Hondo was more in-depth of the events in that era than Unforgiven, but Unforgiven is the superior film.

Re: February 18th 2018
american sniper comes to mind. but i kind of misspoke, as what i was thinking about was not an actual film, but a film franchise and decisions being made with it. star wars is getting jumped on from both sides.Jason wrote:Which films do you see criticized for being too right?zombie wrote:the internet likes to claim that a single movie is both too left and too right, depending on where you're reading. just saying.Jason wrote:I'm reading random, non-spoiler reviews on the internet.zombie wrote:someone told you something though? or you assumed cause it's hollywood?Jason wrote:I'm avoiding specifics, as I actually want to see the movie at some point.zombie wrote:so, what was it that you heard was done to push the liberal agenda?Jason wrote:I haven't seen it, u retards!
Re: February 18th 2018
As far as American Sniper, the movie was based on Chris Kyle's book and held true to everything he said. The left accuse him of being a liar, but that's just speculation, and even if they are correct, war was depicted truthfully. So I don't know what makes American Sniper a right-wing movie other than its praising audience being widely Conservative.

Re: February 18th 2018
i watched american sniper with an open mind, not knowing chris kyle's story really. i enjoyed bradley cooper's performance. would watch again. so, go give hostiles a watch!

Word of mouth was horrible for Winchester.Jason wrote:Is Winchester good? Thinking about seeing it.
Was gonna see Hostiles, but I've heard the main draw back is replacing historic truth with political correctness, so I'll just wait for DVD and judge it myself then?

May have solved the bot issue. They've been penetrating the captcha barrier with ease, figured a little human questioning would act as a decent barrier. Not a single bot since.
