so, what was it that you heard was done to push the liberal agenda?
I'm avoiding specifics, as I actually want to see the movie at some point.

But you’re asking if it’ll hurt your sensitive feelings by having a political message you don’t agree with. Total snowflake behavior. Stay in your safe space buddy.
I'm asking if it substitutes truth with political correctness. Apparently the entire movie is fiction.

There are also degrees of fiction. A story can be totally false, the characters, the events, etc... but if a fully fictional movie takes place in the 1870s, odds are you will still see people riding horseback, etc...
I'll give an example.

The movie Hondo is a fictional western movie. But the events of the movie more accurately represent history in the era that it takes place than most movies in that era.

I'm reading random, non-spoiler reviews on the internet.

fair point. hondo may be more historically accurate. does that make it a better movie than unforgiven or the searchers or whatever? would knowing that it was more accurate change your enjoyment of the film?

the internet likes to claim that a single movie is both too left and too right, depending on where you're reading. just saying.

Hondo was more in-depth of the events in that era than Unforgiven, but Unforgiven is the superior film.

I don't know, it would totally depend on each individual movie.

Which films do you see criticized for being too right?

good call. try to judge the movie on it's own content.

american sniper comes to mind. but i kind of misspoke, as what i was thinking about was not an actual film, but a film franchise and decisions being made with it. star wars is getting jumped on from both sides.

As far as American Sniper, the movie was based on Chris Kyle's book and held true to everything he said. The left accuse him of being a liar, but that's just speculation, and even if they are correct, war was depicted truthfully. So I don't know what makes American Sniper a right-wing movie other than its praising audience being widely Conservative.

i watched american sniper with an open mind, not knowing chris kyle's story really. i enjoyed bradley cooper's performance. would watch again. so, go give hostiles a watch! :P

Was gonna see Hostiles, but I've heard the main draw back is replacing historic truth with political correctness, so I'll just wait for DVD and judge it myself then?
Word of mouth was horrible for Winchester.

May have solved the bot issue. They've been penetrating the captcha barrier with ease, figured a little human questioning would act as a decent barrier. Not a single bot since.
