Currently watching the Space X

Never watched a live launch before.

Launches are fun. I see the Cape Canaveral ones from my backyard. Is it the Space X with the boosters that come back down. For some reason we can go and view the rocket but they won't let people see the boosters land. They do it elsewhere. Maybe it is different in Cali?

No idea. They were doing some satellite drop thing. They ended the feed once it was released.

Dream, do you do the Beta Reader thing?

I'm planning on doing that once I finish this set of rewrites. For now, Mark is my beta reader and he's telling me things that need to be fixed in each book. He's done the first two so far and is working on the third now. I'm still editing the second so once I get the rewrites done for the second and third bookI'm probably going to look into the beta reader thing, or at least getting some people in a writing group I'm a part of to read a chapter or two and get feedback from them that way.

I've been having Alli read everything so far, and she's really only had one criticism.

Seth/Crazy Ralph has been doing some too, but he's not up to speed, kinda runs on his own schedule.

Two other people that offered haven't really gotten back to me in almost 2 months :/

It took Mark a year to read through my first two because I kept editing it while he was reading it and he had to start over with each new draft to see what I changed

Since I stopped editing he finished reading the first two and the only complaint he had was some inconsistencies with one character, which I've mostly fixed I think. I haven't really had anyone else read the most recent versions and probably won't until I have the "final" draft ready (which is a nice way of saying, my draft before I give it to people to rip apart ) I know one change I'm going to make in a major way to the second and third books though. It's a part I'm not happy with, it works, I just think I can do it better. I also want to completely redo the fourth book cause I'm just not happy with it.

I'm already wanting to tweak the first few issues just so I can have my main character be more consistent. I joked about it on FB already, but I stumbled into a phrase she says in issues 5 and 6 that I like, so I want to put it in at least issues 3 and 4, where she interacts with her mentor/guardian character.

My biggest concerns is dialogue and "does shit make sense?" lol. I don't care about the grammar in my panel descriptions, since they are mainly notes for myself to draw.

I wish I could get away with not caring about grammar. I have yet to go through it without fixing some grammar mistake, it's frustrating My main character is pretty consistent, it's one of the side characters that I was having trouble with. His dialogue doesn't fit his actions if you know what I mean? I'm trying to adjust both to make him work more evenly as a character. "Does shit make sense" is my main question every time I read through mine. "Is this consistent?", "Can I word this better?", "Does this work from a scientific point?"(cause in spite of supernatural and magic stuff happening, I want it grounded in science and reality to a point of being at least plausible, even if not possible.) "Is she strong enough?", "Is it believable?", "Is it relatable?" So many fucking questions go through my head on each read through

I fucking hate the reader having to know things. It makes bits awkward to write out cause I feel like I'm having to explain certain aspects that I want to just be implied, but people are idiots and most aren't capable of reading between the lines, they need neon signs pointing out what should be obvious to them based on context. :p

To be frank, I kinda stopped caring about the reader during my last edit. I'm telling the story I want to tell, if people don't get it, that's on them. I shouldn't have to coddle a reader who can't use independent thought at the detriment of those who can.

I still have concern, lol. I mean, I know people are generally dumb, but if a consensus doesn't "get it" then that's on me for not communicating it. If it's just one or two, I'm not going to care though.
