I decided to pop in Beavis and Butthead Do America a week or two ago. I've seen it like 50 fuckin' times, but it's been at least a few years since I last watched it. Various scenes used to make me laugh like a dumb ass uncontrollably when I was a kid that I've since become kind of numb to over the years. I got to the scene in the desert when Muddy finds them and puts a shotgun to their faces and says "You got any last words before I kill you?"... I knew what was coming. I've seen the movie 50 times, but when Butthead delivered the line I was already expecting, "Uhhhh... uhh huh-huh, I have a couple... 'BUTT CHEEKS", I laughed like a dumb ass again for like four days. Weird thing is that part never really made me laugh that much when I was a kid. Got to my funny bone this time, though.

Good movie.

Never Too Young to Die (1986). It had me at John Stamos and that crazy ass Vanity. It really had me at Gene Simmons as an evil Transsexual.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Such a great movie. Beverly D'Angelo was on top of her sexiness game.

i bet that most bio-pics have their share of inaccuracies and/or anachronisms. among the least of which is what style or brand the musicians happen to be playing at any given period or era. does it affect the narrative of the film?

Ahhhhhh.....Nikki did play a white Thunderbird bass in the early days......because he stole it. Lol. Figures.

At least The Doors openly admitted it was based on the mythology of Jim Morrison, rather than historical facts. Sorta like Braveheart, where it's based on the legend and not historical fact (though in Braveheart's case, there was extremely little to reference at the time so they made shit up. Mel admits this. Or in Green Book's case, Tony's kid never had contact with Shirley's estranged family, even knew they existed so he only told his family's side of the story. Besides, its extremely believable that in the 60's, that a family would estrange themselves from someone who came out to them as gay, especially if they were black. I smell they came around sniffing for money so they claim the movie made shit up)

Still bugs me that BohRap manipulated its history to tell its story. Like, okay, sure they fictionalized Freddie telling them about the AIDS during the Live Aid rehearsal, years ahead of when he found out, for the extra drama nearing the climax..but the bullshit claiming the band broke up when in fact they put out several albums (even the Highlander soundtrack during that timeframe) annoys the living piss out of me. Bah.

I don't have high hopes for the Netflix movie, but I'll give it a watch.
