Now if he wants the military to construct a new waterway from the PNW, by all means, do it.

I'm often the only one pointing out democrat lies and incompetence and when Trump responds to it with political grandstanding the keyboards finally come out.

California pushes rainwater into the ocean and even does so during droughts and uses this as an excuse to increase the price of water. People have been calling this out for years. California built stilling basins to drain rainwater and prevent flooding and instead of keeping it, they direct most of it into the ocean even during times of drought. Then they increase your water bill and there is nothing you can do about it. I will never forget the county letter my parents received like ten years ago stating that their water bill is going to increase next year by 50%, the next year by 100% and the year after by 200%. The letter stated that if at least 50% of our city's population sends a return letter to protest the price increase, then the city wouldn't increase the price. The fact that they stated they wouldn't increase the price shows that they are not in dire need of water and never had to increase water prices to begin with. At the end of the day, the city only received 43 letters. One of which came from my parents. The water bill skyrocketed as rainwater flows freely into the ocean and the politicians lined their pockets.

What would replace taxes? Taxes pay for alot of shit people take for granted, and that shit'll need funding somehow if it's not taxes. For example, property taxes pay for local shit like cops, fire fighters, schools, road upkeep, etc. I completely understand wanting to do away with taxes, because seeing that chunk of change taken outta your paycheck sucks donkey dick, but that shit goes to medicare/caid, social security, roads(e.g. the interstate), airports, and the military. I think they should really cut down on military spending, but that'll never happen. Either way, that shit needs paid for.

From my understanding it would have to be a combination of a lot of things, which I'm not holding my breath for, but it seems plausible. Our taxes generate about 2 trillion dollars and the way our tariffs operate, we generate about 1/20th of that. So there will be a need to increase tariffs while also drastically reducing government spending, which every politician promises on and never delivers (billions to Ukraine, etc...).

So the hope is that through increasing tariffs and drastically cutting wasteful spending through the Department of Government Efficiency, we can actually go through with this.

The fact we're talking about it is exciting enough, but if we go through with this then holy shit...

Again, it's not replacing our income tax solely with tariffs. It's a combination of increasing tariffs that will then go into our treasury reserve and cutting wasteful government spending. In addition to this, producing our own resources on our own land without relying on other nations when we have those resources here.
