This so far is not good
The 1929 Phantom is so much better than this and the 1943 one

These Gingerdead Man movies are definitely cheesy fun but I enjoyed them quite a bit more like 15 years ago

I hate to be that guy, but I think you mean the 1925 version. :P

Actually, there's a Chinese adaptation of the story from either 1935 or 1937 (I don't forget, it's just that both dates are listed on different sources) titled Song at Midnight (or Ye ban ge sheng) that's pretty interesting. Earliest existing Chinese horror film, if memory serves.

Going with Bloody Pit of Horror (Il boia scarlatto) next. My DVD copy (from Mill Creek) is only 72 minutes - luckily, Tubi has the 86 minute version up, so I'll be going that direction.

I've not seen the 1962 version. I did see an okay version from I think 1983, though it was a TV movie, and I don't remember much about it. I'm not even a big fan of the silent movie - it's fine, but there are so many more silent horror films I prefer.

Also never saw the Universal movie either, 1943, I think it was.
